Make sure you buy KCL probe solution.
Works as advertised. Use for testing ph of syrups I make for mixed drinks. Keeping ph below 3.7 helps with shelf stability. I have a grenadine syrup I made that I’ve been using for about 8 weeks now just sitting in a cupboard. Device was calibrated fine out of the box. Be sure to purchase KCL probe solution to keep the sponge that is in the cap damp. The sponge was damp when I received the probe. The probe should never be allowed to dry out. You will also need calibration solution or powders and distilled water to make your own.

Might not need to calibrate
This works fine out of the box. Most of the instruction pamphlet, 3 pages of it, describes a cumbersome calibration process and calls for purified water. I suppose that is necessary for precise measurement, but for my hydroponics it was quick, easy and seems accurate and consistent right out of the box.

Great customer service, seller replaced 8 months after purchase
Stopped working after 8 months. I cant recalibrate it because the pH reading will not output anything it just stays at 0 regardless of what it is placed in. I reached out to the manufacturer about a replacement unit since it has a 12 month warranty, they sent out a replacement to me. Good customer service, its a bummer the other one broke but it is a inexpensive pH meter so i wasnt expecting anything amazing. It is amazing that they are willing to replace it free of charge within the first year.

Accurate and Easy to Use
This digital pH meter is a must-have for anyone who needs precise pH readings. It’s easy to use, with a clear horizontal display and quick, accurate measurements. I’ve used it for my hydroponics setup, aquarium, and even my pool, and it works perfectly every time. The temperature reading feature is a great bonus. Highly recommended for both beginners and experts!

Great value
I needed a quick replacement when my other ph pen died. This pen filled the roll incredibly well. The included temperature gauge is an amazing value and seems relatively accurate. I have not tested the temperature against another meter. The other brilliant feature is the backlight display that auto shuts off after about 10 seconds. you can still see the reading, but the backlight turns off to save battery.accuracy - this pen, When tested against my Milwaukee ph pen shows a difference of only .1, this is without calibrating the YINMIK ph meter out of the box.reliability - used for only about a month so far without issue, will update if it fails. accidentally fully immersed the meter in water for 2-3 seconds. dried the exterior and it remains fully functional.support your local brands when you can, but this is a GREAT backup pen.

Don't make the same mistake I did
I have bought several PH meters over the years, yellow in color, Hint. My existing meter started to give erratic readings so I whipped out my new one same as the first one and calibrated it per instructions. Reading from the directions started the task. The directions are mostly clear, but implementing is another story. What a pain in the buttocks, I got so frustrated I axed my flatmate to assist to see if I was was a dimwit. She was having difficulty, but succeeded. Overall pain to calibrate so I bought this new one. What a difference, calibrated in minutes. I will try and update after use.

Great if it doesn't randomly stop working.
Calibrating this and keeping it moist between uses is great. The fact that I can check the PH in all of my tanks in a couple minutes is a HUGE boon for me.However, I have gone through two of these eight months. The first lasted for about six months and was amazing, the second would not work after being calibrated. It kept saying 0.2 and would not change despite all efforts and research.I'm going to try something else this time. It's a great device when it works, but I've been without one for almost two months and I hate using my strips and master tester kit to determine pH.

Works, but sometimes readings are all over the place and don't stabilize even after calibration.
Update: This has never been extremely accurate. However, I was able to use it to get an idea if one acid solution made with vinegar and citric acid is more acidic than vinegar or lemon juice alone for example when canning. I can also use it to determine if TDS filtered water is generally more acidic or alkaline after filtering. There is a pad inside the lid that according to the instructions should stay moist at all times. This pad quickly became moldy and I removed it. The lid was washed and sanitized in a bleach solution. The lid and probe areas still smells strongly of dusty mold so I would never stick it into ready to eat food but rather pour off a sample to test. I have never kept the probe moist as recommended. The probe has never cracked or dried out. I also have never calibrated it since the first time I used it. Surprisingly, It has not needed it and gives same range of readings it always has with the same solutions. Like I said, while not completely accurate it is close enough for home use but is not quick to adjust or respond when being moved from different solutions.Calibrated correctly, so I know that it can determine PH correctly. When testing white vinegar, (5%) it read correctly. However there are sometimes when testing liquids like coffee or water that the readings don't stabilize. For example, when testing a cup of alkaline water, the reading measured 8.6. It gradually over the next 2-3 minutes dropped incrementally until the water had a PH of 6.2. I stopped watching it at that point. I repeated this test multiple times. So either the water is alkaline (over 7) or acidic (under 7) or neutral (7.0) or none of the above. It was hard to know for sure. If you are using this to measure PH of drinking water or filtered water, or using this for critical applications that require accuracy, I would recommend a PH testing alternative that is more reliable and accurate, even if it costs more.Note that the instructions say to shake the instrument side to side to release any bubbles that might be trapped underneath where glass probe is to get accurate readings. I can assure that this was done with vigor and is not a factor in the erratic behavior of the device I describe above.
