If you mean an electric plate hob then yes. But not for induction hobs

Can you use this on a gas cooker/hob?

Yes, I use mine on a gas hob. You have to be careful with monitoring the heat as it can get too hot very quickly but fine once you get the knack. Also be careful when cleaning as the non stick can come off fairly easily.

What is the longest people have had this for please and have been using it successfully? I want to get something that lasts more than a month...

I’ve had mine since 2014 and use it a fair bit. I have never had a problem with waffles sticking and it works well. Do not over tighten the handles and you will be fine.

Does anyone have instructions for this? Preheat or not? High or medium temperature? For how long?

Yes, you need to preheat. I use medium temp and turn side every 3-5min. You just have to try and see what works for you. I found it helps not to stick more when I spray it with oil or brush some butter before baking.
