Roku Ultra LT 4K/HDR/HD Streaming Player with Enhanced Voice Remote, Ethernet, MicroSD with Premium 6FT 4K Ready HDMI Cable

I have been trying to get the Amazon TV stick to communicate with my Plex server for a long time ! with no success either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections. I have followed all the YouTube videos on how to connect TV Stick with Plex and gave up with trying to connect. I was even contemplating using a USB stick loaded with my programs direct to TV! I wanted the Films, TV series etc to go through the AV amp with surround sound. I decided to try Roku and what an easy installation it was! , It picked up both the wifi and the ethernet connections with no problem and instantly connected to the Plex server after downloading the plex client via Roku downloads. It was such a relief to have everything working as it should!! I would thoroughly and highly recommend this Roku device

1. This is a US version. As such UK apps like BBC iPlayer don't work on it (it is Geo locked). 2. It comes with US plug so I had to purchase an adapter, then to find out #1. 3. There are many other reviewers with the same problem. Why are Amazon selling something in the UK that does not work in the UK properly. 4. Then when I go to return the item Amazon want to charge me £2.70 (WHAT?!?!?)

Came supplied with USA power adaptor, no mention of this in the sales site. Also uk bbc I player will not run on this device, works fine on other roku devices.

Very disappointed, when it arrived it had an American plug so i had to spend another £6.50 for adaptor, then the remote wouldn't work, I found using chat gpt that the remote needed to be synced to until by pressing a tiny button hidden under the batter compartment,I spend more time trouble shooting rather than watching programmes, then it was an issue with one free app, got that working, now the BBC iPlayer crashes each time I open it, I have spent about 3 hours trouble shooting no joy.

Very disappointed with this purchase. Nowhere in the listing does it clearly state that this is a US product, yet the Roku arrived with a US plug and no UK adaptor included. That makes it unusable straight out of the box in the UK without buying additional adapters. For a product sold on Amazon UK, this should be made clear in the description. The device itself might work fine, but the fact that the listing doesn’t mention this important detail feels misleading. Buyers should be aware before ordering.

The device is designed for the US market. So it only has a US power adapter, the quick link buttons on the remote are for the US market and BBC iPlayer won't work on it as it thinks it is a non-UK device

Got to be kidding Amazon UK! How can you possibly sell this none UK product on your UK site? USA power chord only and no BBC iplayer app support. Apart from the above it does what it says on the box. Add to shopping cart Alexa power chord if you buy it.

To be simple I used my existing connection to tv, old remote and I'm not using HDMI to my stereo; my tv's older as well. Through my 192khz optical to coaxial converter 5.1 Dolby Digital works fine (kicks in from PCM when movie starts) but DD+ does not. I think it would thru HDMI. HDR wouldn't work on my setup and the Roku feedback said as much even tho I tried forcing it. Otherwise the 2160p 60hz picture works flawlessly and the 5.1 DD is great if possibly a tad softer on some sources (?) but not others. So works great. I had no glitches or problems after testing it all afternoon, and no upgrade/activation problems (I'm an experienced Roku user). I can't speak for the remote and built-in audio function as I'm not using it and don't intend to. Basic function is flawless (set your Roku and tv to Dolby/Auto out) and it works fine with old remote. I'll update if it fails. I say buy. Having cat cable jack for direct wired connection to router is a plus.
