Not fancy, easy to use, and does the job!

Got this for my husband for Christmas. Seems to be durable and waterproof. Tested the temperature with a manual thermometer and it was accurate.

Ok, so before I buy anything, I look at lots of products in different price ranges and read all the reviews, good and bad. Sometimes I get bad products, sometimes I get good ones (every product will have bad reviews, but sometimes those people just got the one bad out of the bunch). With all that being said, this seems to be a good one!! There are less bad reviews than with other brands so thats good. Yes it is big. But they all are. You'll have to search for a small one if that's what you want. But it does fit in my hand(adult woman, small hand, like a youth large) and my husband's hand (adult male, it's extra large). Its magnetic so when we're done we throw it up on the fridge. The light is nifty. It doesn't stay lot long, but long enough. It does come with extra batteries so thats good. The batteries aren't easily accessible, but really how often are you going to need in there. I think it makes it more kid-proof. It does take a couple seconds for the read, but it seems accurate, and literally a couple seconds, not 30 secs. You can use it at any angle which is convenient and it automatically comes on when you open it & turns off when you close it. I use it to test the temperature of my baby formula in her bottle. But could also use it for meats, etc. The tip is kinda sharp (to poke meats I assume). Not for kids to use. Overall, I think it's pretty awesome, especially for the price point! Its easy to read, easy to use, accurate, fast, convenient. Checks all the boxes! I will update if anything changes!!

This thermometer is well made and works well except for the response time. It is much slower than my previous device to show the temperature reading and return the ambient temperature. Comes with a second battery and a built-in bottle opener which is nice. I would have scored it higher if the response time was better.

Highly Recommend !!! 2 to 3 second reading, Easy read display with back light and even came with a extra battery.

I absolutely am happy with this item. When you flip it open it automatically turns on. When you close it, it shut off. No looking for buttons. And it's so easy to read. No trying to see the numbers they are large. I tested it with my older thermometer and it is accurate. And it comes with an extra battery.

This cooking thermometer has taken the guessing out of cooking meat. Asking yourself is that chicken really done and is the guest going to get food poisoning. The probe folds up to the handle and turns it off. A great feature that takes running the battery down away. Very quick response once inserted into any food. I like the fact the manufacturer includes a nice food chart on various foods too which is a big help. It has been very durable albeit it’s not thrown around but rather it has a hole in the handle that gives added grip area. Just try to refrain from swinging it around like a fast draw cowboy in a gun fight. That’s when you might loose it and sling it in the air and watch it slam to the ground.

Temperature is completely off. Don’t bother

The accuracy of this product is awful! When it was fresh out of the box, boiling water read less than 90C. After I calibrated it with ice water according to the instruction, boiling water pouring out from screaming kettle reading was 94C in the insulated Zojirushi thermal cup and dropping by the seconds. How could a probe read temp off by this much? returning it asap.
