I am so pleased with the way these keys fit my Frigidaire freezer. Not only did I get one key but I got several for the same price that one cost normally. I was skeptical about plastic keys, but for this model they are all plastic, and they work very well. When I first got my freezer I threw away the key because I didn’t think I need to lock it. The reason I lock it is because I have it out in the garage and in the summertime sometimes the grandkids forget to close it all the way and then the ice builds up. I have the key through along string and tied onto the handle. Everyone has been taught how to open and close the freezer with the key. Ever since I’ve received my key I have not had to defrost my freezer!

All my life these keys have been some kind of metal. These are plastic and the ad does not go out of its way to tell you that they are plastic. Works fine since the latch on my freezer is not hard to turn. 4/5 stars because I was expecting a metal key. Best advice tie it to the door handle with a string to keep from loosing it. Tape the second key to the top of the freezer.

They lock and unlock the freezer doors so guess the good.

***UPDATE!!!! First key lasted less then a month before stripping out and becoming useless, no reason these should have stripped out after a couple weeks of use. 2nd key still works for now but i can see its getting stripped as well. Do not buy these*** failed to read the description before purchasing and did not realize they are made of plastic. Was pretty disappointed but was even more disappointed when i realized the lock on my freezer was made out of thin plastic 😳😬 keys feel far more durable then the freezer latch and they work great. They feel very solid for being made of light weight plastic so should outlast the poorly made modern day freezer.

Work great for 20yr old Kenmore upright. Just be mindful they are made of durable plastic.

I was a bit disappointed when they arrived mine looks like plastic not metal although they work just fine for now, I don’t know how much punishment they will take and for how long.
