Black & Decker 58259300 Blade Clamp

This replacement part for my Black and Decker jigsaw model number js510g fits and works perfect. I did have to tap it in a little bit but the problem could have been on my jigsaw and not the actual part. The blade is nice and straight now and doesn't wobble. Cuts nice and straight also and holds the saw blade tight. Thank you very much for selling this part for only $10 while other people are trying to get $30 for them. If this part was more than $20 I would not have purchased it I would have just bought a new jigsaw.

This fit my old back & decker js200 type 3 with a little grinding. It wasn't supposed to. But I knew that going in.

Perfect fit

Based on the review from Robert about a simple mod that allows this blade clamp to be used with the obsolete model JS250Q Type 1A Black and Decker jig saw, and the low price, I gave it a shot. This part can replace original part 581098-02SV. I filed down the little nubs inside the slot where it slides onto the saw bar with a small flat file and voila, it slid on and I tightened down the two holding screws. I will buy a spare in case these go away. Thank Robert!

Fit my Black and Decker J200 type 3 jig saw perfectly. Have read other reviews about too tight a fit, this is normal. Do not file or alter the blade holder. Clean everything throughly, line the part up with the saw’s reciprocating shaft and carefully tap the part on using a flat face round punch and small ball-peen hammer. The fitment must be tight to withstand the torque and impact on the blade holder during use of the power saw. Replacement part holds blades properly and works as expected.

Make sure your using sharp blades to prevent placing strain on the keeper assembly. Removal of the old unit is easy and install of the replacement is fairly simple.
