I hadn't intended buying a new machine, but with this on offer I'm very glad I did! Setting up was very quick & easy, and using it is equally simple, not having to wait for it to warm up is what really appealed to me, not that I'm impatient, but due to illness I can't walk about much when I get up in the morning, and this cuts down the number of trips to the kitchen! The coffees that it came with are excellent, 2 different sleeves, plus a further box of 12 different ones to try, so far all have been as good as anything from a local coffee shop. The milk frother is also very easy to use, I've found it works best with whole milk, but semi skimmed works quite well, you do need to use it as soon as it's ready though. so I've found it best to make the coffee first. I also like that the pods eject into a caddy on the side of the machine when you open the lid. The mugs are good quality and a good size too, plenty of room for lots of foam on a latte or cappuccino. Using the promo code for the extra free coffees & travel mugs was also straightforward, these arrived next day, 2 different mug sized coffees, plus a flavoured one, also mug sized, an espresso and a double espresso, so plenty to try out and well worth getting. Overall, I haven't found anything not to like and with the offer price of £109 it's exceptional value.

Lovely looking machine nice & small. I have had no problems so far, but I would not have bought this vertuo machine if I realised that you can only use one type of specific coffee pod & that is NOT the normal Nespresso pods. Absolutely my own fault for not checking properly but I assumed as the Nespresso brand it would still fit the regular pods.The Vertuo pods aren’t cheap, but do make a lovely coffee, and quickly too.Also stated to be a ‘smart’ machine connected to your phone & the WiFi but I am yet to be able to connect it to do anything other than notify me if there’s a problem (such as no water to make the coffee that I am stood making)

Switched from a Dolce Gusto machine and it was so worth it. It’s a massive upgrade. The quality of coffee is excellent. Super easy to use. Put the pod in and it will detect how much water is needed based on the barcode on the pod. It’s a good compact size, still fairly long though. If more than 2 people were having a large coffee in the morning then I’d say the larger version would be a better option or you’d have to fill the water container multiple times. You get a sample box of pods in the box and Nespresso are offering 50 free pods (which are easy to claim online - might be different for all but I got sent 10 each if the following golden caramel, ginseng delight, Altissio, Melozio and Fotado which is decaf) so you’re good to go for a while, depending on coffee intake, before you have to buy additional pods. You can connect your machine to Bluetooth on first use and it will let you know when you should descale the machine etc which is useful.Unlike the Dolce Gusto machine, the Nespresso pods are only coffee and do not have powdered milk pods which I found too sweet as I prefer black coffee. All pods, however, can be used with milk. You can buy a Nespresso milk frother machine or just warm up milk and froth with a small electric hand whisk and you tap the brew button twice to increase the intensity of the brew. The Nespresso app has a recipe for a cappuccino and latte Machiato. One function I really like is the pod catcher, keeps everything nice and tidy and the pods are all recyclable through Nespresso pod collection.Just bare in mind you can’t buy the pods in the supermarket (not that I’ve found anyway) but you can order easily enough via Nespresso or Amazon and they are a little more expensive when compared to the Dolce Gusto or the other Nespresso pods but it’s worth it for the quality of coffee.
