This works as it should. It is like having a 3rd hand while holding your rod while tying on a new fly. It looks a bit amateurish but it works well, so well they my fishing buddy saw me using mine while in BC Spey fishing that he wanted one.

It’s been a great accessory to add to my fly fishing setup. Holds the rod well and been very convenient.

This is my new favorite fly fishing tool, however there are some things that could be done better. I have a 1&1/2" belt and it would slide all over the place and not be totally secure. I went out and bought a 2" belt to help with this which it did. I still feel the way it connects to any belt could be improved in some way. It works great if you want to take it on and off easily, but that's not the case for me... I want it to stay in one fixed location on my belt forever. Also the only other negative thing I have to say is that the clamp that holds the rod could be a bit tighter for my rod, would be nice if that was adjustable too in some way. I never use the bungee to secure it since it is a pain to put on and take off with one hand. But I nearly loose my rod when I'm in above waist deep water. All that aside I love this tool! My brother and dad are jealous since I can work on a fish or tie flys without fumbling with my rod. I love that you can adjust it in any direction since each situation is different whether you want it in front of you or behind you.

Husband loves this one as it swivels too. Very happy with product.

While it looks stupid, I have gotten so used to using it, I would feel lost without it. I clip it to the back of my wading belt to hold a second rod behind me and to the side while wading. I may look like a fool, but you'll feel like a fool when I catch more fish than you.

Maybe my favorite piece of fly fishing gear i own lol. It’s pretty awesome to have both hands available for a ton of situations, even just trekking to the next spot

Love this thing.. I just returned from fly fishing on Christmas Island and needed to carry an 11wt GT rod while fishing a 9 for triggers and bones. When the opportunity presented itself, I ditched my 8 and quickly (and w/o taking my eyes off the 50lb fish) retrieved my 11 wt and made a cast that the GT attacked. Alas, it didn't get hooked, but what an adrenaline rush!

Really worth the cost, frees up your arm to change flys or anything else you need to do in the middle of a brook, no more arm pit holding.
