Q: The 7" or the 10" which one would be most versatile I only afford one right now that's why I'm asking thanks

I use a 7” everyday as a helicopter mechanic. I use the 10” on a/c lines mostly but also have a ford wrench for that that I prefer. The 10” however is very handy for squeezing aluminum countersunk rivets!

Q: What's the main difference between the Pliers wrench v. the Cobra pliers? is one better suited for one type of job v. the other one?

The cobra replaces channel lock pliers. The pliers wrench replaces crescent wrench/open end wrench set. Both are the best of their kind and worth having if you use these kind of tools regularly.

To what maximum dimension can the jaws be opened? The following YouTube video (Knipex Pliers Wrench) gives information on this. Officially the 12" model opens to a maximum of 2-3/8". However I've measured the opening on mine and it appears to be about 2-1/2 inches. The 7" model opens to 1-3/8". The 10 inch PW opens to a maximum of 1-3/4 inch.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUCY9w7Oco0The 7" PW is approximately 7 inches long (actually about 7-1/8") in the fully closed position ... but in the fully open position the length is about 8 inched long.
