Aside from this issue they are great shoes. Im on my second pair
Okay, only one star knocked off for 5.10 not sizing these correctly. If you wear an 11, buy a 12... Getting one size up should get the fit right for you.Aside from this issue they are great shoes. Im on my second pair, and have always been impressed with the grip Ive gotten with them. On painted surfaces and slick wood the grip goes away, but that is the case with a lot of shoes. Stay mindful of this while using them for parkour and you will be fine. For approach situations they are incredible for what they are... A compromise between a comfortable everyday shoe and a grippy climbing shoe. They are lightweight for what they are, and they are quite flexible compared to my Guide Tennies and Five Tennies. They are WAY more durable then Feyues. For $35 these things are a steal for the way they perform. Buy a few pairs now because they are now discontinued, and you will not find a better grippy shoe for the price anywhere else. Ive already stockpiled mine because once these are gone you will be paying $100+ for similar performace from the same company until they decide to discontinue something else.If you are worried about them coming unglued just get some shoe cement to keep them going. The stuff is cheap, and if you are rough on your shoes you should have some anyway.

Five Ten's history with climbing shoes can be seen here ...
Five Ten's history with climbing shoes can be seen here - as can a number of refinements from other disciplines. Whether based on the DC Comics "Justice League Unlimited" hero, the Marvel Comics master assassin conscripted to SHIELD, or the 1938 Curtiss P-40 fighter aircraft (all of the same name), the Five Ten Warhawk embodies similar aspects of strength, stamina and speed. As worn by Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - the upper of the Warhawk has both nubuck leather and abrasion-resistant synthetic "Perflex" components bound together with robust double stitching. The side-walls of the shoe feature perforations that provide much needed ventilation and the instep has an extra hardwearing reinforced pad (potentially to support use in étriers). The "cloven hoof" toe-cap rand and diagonal slingshot heel both protect the shoe and keep it firmly in place. The back of the shoe also includes protective and contoured heel cup (in Dijon yellow) and inside an compression-moulded EVA midsole and heel wedge. The four climbing shoe innovations apparent in this model are the:* generous amounts of smoothly sticky stealth Mi6 (Mission Impossible 6th generation) rubber wrapping from toe up - and becoming dimpled to the back of the heel;* two additional (Dijon-coloured) eyelets towards the ankle that enable the wearer to customise exactly how tightly these boots are lashed;* a slingshot heel - designed to pull the foot forward in the shoe;* black heel-placed finger loops to assist in entry/removal and to enable a carabineer to be slid through and hang them when not in use.Designed for sure-footed use as an approach shoe, bouldering/buildering, or Parkour (Freerunning), these shoes weigh in at around 10.6oz/300.50g (size 9) and deliver a significant durability to weight ratio when contrasted with other purpose built shoes. Released in 2012 - these shoes are now out of production so pick them up while you still can.

Half-size too SMALL
BUY THESE A HALF SIZE LARGER!!Definitely an improvement on the original Freerunner design. Including traction, weight and flexibility, and overall shape and fit are more practical for Parkour/Freerunning applications. However, while I felt the Freerunner design was kind of "clunky" these run a half-size small - as a few others have said in their reviews. At first I felt it may just be a carry-over from the climbing mentality that snug shoes provide more versatility when taking on various types of footing situations. These are, after all, a variation of an approach shoe - intended for hiking/light climbing on the "approach" to your actual climb. But alas, I had to exchange them for a larger size because my toes were in danger of being ground into mere stumps (not ideal for running or other physical activity requiring balance and agility).

Had them for a week. The entire rubber tread tore off of the right shoe and the left one developed a flap where it looks like the rubber slid and folded on to itself. Working on getting a refund. What good is boasting about how grippy the rubber is if it's not held together?

Shoes fell apart within first week of use.
Shoes have good grip. but they were uncomfortably tight in the toes. Also the rubber molding around the toes became detached from the fabric on day 3 of wearing the shoes. Pretty much a waste of money. Don't know if I'll ever buy another pair of 5.10's as this was my first experience and as of now its pretty much an epic fail.
