I have gotten into the Korean 10 step skincare regime recently and bought this on the recommendation from Asian skin-thusiasts Gothamista and Fifty Shades of Snail, researching their Youtube and beauty blogs which have been incredibly informative when you are new to Asian skincare. I use the Sulwhasoo first active serum, which I love, and was always curious about this mask as it is another holy-grail product, but I was put off buying it since it was quite expensive. I also wasn’t sure if I needed another layer on top of my moisturiser in my existing regime. Still, I wanted to try it as my skin is mature, can be dehydrated/dry, and I use retinal and actives at night which can cause flaking around the nose area and wondered if this would help. It arrived boxed, sealed and was genuine. I used it as the last item at night, as suggested, to add and seal in the hydration. I thought it would be too heavy, but the consistency is quite light, applies very smoothly and you only need a small amount for a thin layer. You can feel that it has a very sophisticated application, a formula of a lot of beneficial ingredients and the distinctive herbal ginseng smell. I woke up to the softest smoothing and hydrated skin and without any flakiness around my nose. Really impressed. Now I currently use it about 2-3 nights a week after actives. Am so glad I finally added this to my routine.
