I haven'the had it long enough to see how it handles wear and tear but so far I am very pleased with it.

Wow there's a lot of complaining about this mat. Honestly, I wasn't looking at spending very much money. This mat does the job. It rolls flat (requires just some time for it to revert from it's packaging stage to usage stage. My office has think carpet and it does a good job staying in place and making it easier to roll my office chair on. I've had it for a while and it's still like brand new. No cracks have formed, no breaking for constant rolling, its quality for sure. For those who are complaining about the weight, if you get something lighter, then it also is thinner, which means less sturdiness.

Needed something quickly for a work from home set up. This was inexpensive and I wasn't sure what I wanted to got it. This says it's for low pile carpet and they mean it! It would work great on stiff commercial style carpet. I have bedroom carpet with a very short nap, maybe 3/4" long, and the carpet is too deep for this mat. Because the spikes under the mat don't reach the carpet base I end up with wheel dents in the places I tend to sit and then it's hard to move the chair while sitting. So... it's a great mat if used in the right setting but if you have the kind of carpet usually found in homes this isn't the one.

This product arrived on time, and though there is no reason to get all ecstatic about this product - it does it's job, which is protecting my carpet from my office chair in my home office - where I sit most of the day, studying. Now, I was warned about purchasing a cheap one, due to the possibility of cracking. However, I do not weigh as must as the person who warned me. Therefore, I am happy with this product, and I am sure you will be too. If you weigh over 400 pounds, you may have to purchase a product that is thicker and is priced between $80.00-$100.00. I personally was not going to purchase a piece of plastic for that price, that I was going to roll over all day long. If it cracks ......after not taking heed to the warning (even at my weight which is considerably less), then I will just buy another and will warn the consumer on the next go 'round in the reviews.

The sizing is good and it was the cheapest one that I could find online. I was buyging for my computer chair becaues I got sick of my rug making moving the chari increasingly difficuly. Well this mat made it a BIT better, but it's not think enough to remain completely flat. With the weight of someone on the chair (Even my girlfriend who only weighs about 125 pounds.), the mat still sinks at the wheels of the chair. It's not quite as bad as the rug, but it's still not worth buying thi mat for. You may think it's not a bad gamble, but that's not the only problem. Since the mat is still semi-thick, it takes a while for the mat to reshape itself back to flat after moving the chair. So therefore if you only move the chair 1 inch, the chair will roll back into the dent that the wheels made previously, making things VERY annoying. My advice to everyone is to just spend the extra money and buy a thicker rug. Dont waste your time with this one, unless you have a flat-low rug.
