Q: Why is there screws in it ?!

You have to contact the manufacturer for this! I never had any problems with the screws. No rust etc.

Q: Does the spout leak when tipped upside down?

Yes. They need to know to hold it like a straw cup. Mine lasted a week and was binned. The Nuby sport cap is a lot better

Q: Is this a free flow straw or does it have a valve? Thanks.

It has a valve which works for about 2 weeks. It then starts to leak.

Q: Is it easy for a 2 year old to open?

My 2 year old can open it but at first required two hands!
