Source M.C. 3L Ultimate Low Profile Hydration System with UTA Rapid Refill Adapter and Magnetic Clip Kit, Coyote (4325190203)

I have 2 of the First Gen USMC FILBE Hydration carriers - which use the Source Tactical bladder. I've never had any problems with those bladders, or parts. I particularly like the Zip top. My old ones never got funky taste wise, but I'd only ever put water in them. With the zip top, it's easy to air out. (I use a Tupperware lid to prop the inside open, and hang it over the sink.) I recently upgraded one of my hydration kits to the Second Gen (which is basically a Camelbak Ambush carrier.) Mainly because I like the idea of a pocket or two. According to my research, this bladder should work in the FILBE V2. I haven't received my carrier yet, but the bladder arrived in two days - when it was estimated to be 7 days. Once the carrier arrives, I will update my review with some thoughts, fit / function. The Source bladder has a central baffle inside, which is supposed to minimize sloshing noise. This bladder also has the zip top for easy fill and cleaning. I will say, I much prefer that style - but only because I've gotten used to having that feature. I also ordered the Camelbak Antidote (USGI) 100oz, which is supposed to be the Original bladder for that pack. I'll be testing each to see which I like best for my use. UPDATE 04/28: I can confirm that this bladder will fit in the newer USMC FILBE hydration carrier. If if resembles the Camelbak Ambush (which has two pockets, you should be good to go.) Other pertinent info: The package says; Ultimate Source M.C. Source WXP 3l LOW PROFILE Barcode says USMC WLPS. Hope that info helps if you need a bladder, or are looking to try a Source Tactical one.

First bladder I used was camelbak in the 2000s. The bladder did fail fairly quickly, but the valve cover was the worst part of the experience. It would pop open constantly, and its use on a daypack meant I'd regularly have to rinse filth off of it before drinking. This was issued gear, and we all had this same problem. In 20 years I figured they would have fixed it. But they still use the exact same useless cover design today. I moved to Platypus brand with a homemade valve cover in a hiking pack. It was workable. Then I discovered Source. The bladder seems to be at least as durable as Platypus. The faucet/spigot refill adapter is great. But the valve and cover have shown me just how far behind Camelbak is. It's an important part of the system and Source didn't cut corners. Even if I used another brand of bladder, I'd install the Source valve/cover on it before use. If I had a complaint, it would be that the cover is almost too secure -- but having experienced the opposite problem in dirty conditions with other hydration systems, it's not a complaint I will make.

Just the quality is awesome. Worth the extra money. I mean when you really need the water and the other brand is leaking you're gonna wish you spent the extra money. Plus the hose cover makes it so your water doesn't taste like donkey a$$. Unless you're into that.

The button you need to press to drink doesn't press, so you can't get any water out of it. Absolutely useless, unless you want to ballast your plate carrier

I’ve used Camelback in the past, but I needed something a little smaller than what I have currently for my bag and I really wanted to try this with the refillable connector on the mouthpiece. It’s crazy how well it works when you connect a water bottle onto the attachment on the end of the hose. I was able to fill my entire water pack with water bottles using the attachment.

As advertised, durable, easy to clean and no leaks. Busted my ass several times, falling onto my pack with the bladder-no worries.

Got it for my hiking backpack and my biking "camelbak" style pack. Fits in both and works really well. Love the extra capacity without it filling up my pack entirely. Easy to clean with the disconnect valves. I washed it first, but there was no taste at all. Don't regret purchase at all.

Randonnée, Enduro bike...La valve sur quick connecteur est un vrai plus dans la versatilité de l'ensemble. onpeut varier les valves et les raccords si l'on a plusieurs Poche à eau source. Coonecteur quick connect de la poche compatible avce les tuyaux Camelback, ce qui dépanne bien quand on endommage son tuyau en cours de vacances et que les magasins locaux ne distribue par du "spare" source :-)

Source is a provider for several militaries in the world, obvious choice when choosing water-system. Also bought the Nalgene bottle adapter, for easy refill.

Een nadeel van mijn huidige tochtjes zijn de flessen water die ik mee neem. Om hier iets aan te doen (ruimte besparing) heb ik toch maar besloten om een waterzak aan te schaffen. Na enig zoekwerk kwam ik bij het merk source uit en de Ultimate M.C. 3L past mooi in, o.a., mijn 20l rugzak. Gister besteld en vandaag in huis, perfect! Meteen de waterzak uitgetest! Ik had in recensies gelezen dat de vuldop kon lekken, maar dit is bij mij niet het geval. Ook wil ik de waterzak gebruiken om mijn hond te drinken te geven: met de bijgeleverde vuladapter kan ik perfect water aftappen! 'k Ga de waterzak en de gebruiksaanwijzing nu eerst nader onderzoeken: lekvrij onder belasting, smaak, onderhoud ed... De eerste indruk is positief! Eigenlijk het enige minpuntje is de kleur van de slang, had zwart veel mooier (en bijpassender) gevonden, maar daar vind ik wel iets op. ;)
