Easy and effective.
Got an old Onkyo receiver in my basement and couldn't get a couple of channels to come in clearly with a wire antenna. This screwed right into the back and is hanging from the ceiling, doing a great job receiving all stations.

Successful Product
product as described, works well just use your adapter for the right connection plug in and go. Getting all the FM stations. What a simple fix thanks. Made well and works.

What to know before buying
Excellent for stereo reception, bottom is magnetic and it swivels every which way. Small in size and look good, great value for money. Recommended.

Absolute significant improvement
Living 30-40 miles from an FM broadcast tower can make radio reception spotty depending on tower strength. In my case, a local station would have more static by me moving around a room or standing in certain positions. My receiver was equipped with a simple wire antenna that I tacked on a wall. It was not enough. This antenna has a long cord on it with a magnetic base for placement and extendable antenna. It comes with multiple inputs for different receiver outputs but in my case the base coax input made for easy screw on installation. It works perfectly, with the longer wire allowing a magnetic placement on a metal bedpost. No more static, strong broadcast signal, super clear. It might cost 2x a simple wire, but the value is definitely there.

Works great
My receiver is inside a concrete patio cabinet, needless to say, poor reception. It would rarely pick up all the major FM stations and I’m just 30 min outside of Houston. I have cheaper wire antennas the receiver came with, no success. I bought this one and instantly I get all stations. No static, no going in and out. And I can keep my cabinet door shut and and doesn’t go off when I walk by. Works awesome!

Easily Installed; Significant (but not "Spectacular") Signal Gain
I bought this for a small Sangean ("better-quality") AM-FM tabletop receiver that only came with a single, 1-meter soft copper wire antenna attached to a coaxial connector. The receiver had worked just fine as-shipped, so long as it was used within a 15 km of a major urban center. But when it was moved to a more rural location, at least 25 km from the nearest city of any size, all terrestrial FM broadcasts except for 4 or 5 channels dropped away completely to static, and some of the channels within range were "fuzzy." (In fact, using the original copper antenna, the receiver wouldn't even pick up FM transmissions from an old fashioned SiriusXM receiver installed in my vehicle -- parked in a lot about 15 meters from the radio!)I installed this antenna -- which was really easy and took less than one minute from shipping package to complete setup and functionality -- and immediately doubled the number of stations to which I could listen. (Yep, I was able to receive Sirius satellite signals in my vehicle and transmit them over FM from the parking lot to my Sangean radio.)Signals from some of the terrestrial broadcast stations were still "marginal" (produced fuzzy sounds or failed to turn on the stereo signal indicator light) but the improvement was dramatic and instant.I especially appreciated the magnetic base on the "whip" component of this antenna -- it allows the unit to be stuck to the side or top of any ferrous object nearby, and it also works as a weighted base for tabletop use. I also liked the long connector cord and the fact that the manufacturer included several different connectors (BIN; 2 mm, etc.) making this adaptable to various receivers.Overall, a good value -- but don't expect it to completely resolve reception problems in more remote locations.

Great antenna! I've purchased 3 times!
In the last month or so, I've purchased this antenna 3 times! First I bought one for a digital converter box to watch TV over the air without paying for a service. It worked so good that I gave it away to a friend who wanted to watch basic TV for free. I then replaced the antenna and realized that I could plug the antenna directly into my basic Samsung TV (without the digital converter box). I get a lot of channels for free now, like 50 or more (I live in San Francisco, so it may vary in your location). I get all the basic channels and much more (maybe 3 or 4 PBS feeds). Most of those channels I'm not interested in, but it's great. And finally, I remembered that sometimes it was hard to dial in on my Tivoli radio. I added the antenna and it's a helps getting the channels dialed in. Anyway, I recommend the antenna. The cord is pretty long. It has a magnetic base, but I just stand them up by the window. It's a heavy enough base that it stands up by itself. I haven't used the adaptors, but it's nice to have. Hope this helps.

Total let down.
I have been using the flimsy wire hooked up and draped to a nearby wall for my FM antenna on my Surround Sound Processor. I felt certain this telescoping antenna would provide as equally crystal clear reception and look far neater. Alas, the reception was worse. I tried placing it in various locations and the only time the signal got really clear was when it was in my hand being moved in one particular spot. So I reverted back to the supplied FM dangling wire and crisp clea FM again blasts out of my processor.I'm not saying this unit is defective but I suspect there is definitely more to it than just hooking up to various systems. Placement of those systems, absence of chicken wire on a stucco house (I'm sure I live in a Faraday cage LOL) would all help to get a better signal. It just does nothing in my environment and I'm not about to tear my media center down and move it for the sake of a nice looking antenna.
