Perfect fit for my Rottweiler
My male Rottie is 21 months old and a sweet gentle dog. He weighs 100 pounds of pure muscle. The only time a muzzle is NECESSARY is for trips to the vet when nail clipping is needed. He is NOT A FAN!Now, about the muzzle. Without hyperbole I say it’s perfect for my guy. There are two features that set this muzzle in a category of its own. One is the loop on the top the other is the loop on the bottom. These two loops serve as stabilizers and anchors. The collar doesn’t come with it but I HIGHLY recommend buying a collar and use it. I bought the one that fits the mini Educator e collar. That collar works well because it’s the right width and the entire collar has punched holes making it very easy to adjustAs for the fit?I did exactly as instructed I measured him and ordered a size 4.To get him use to it I put a little oil on the inside front so he would want to put his nose in to lick it off. It worked every time. I did this for a couple of weeks not every day but about every other. Also, I hung it by the back door and every time we’d go out I’d lift it and say want a treat? Then I’d give him a treat if he touched his nose to it. I bought it in May 2022.I had him wear it around the house and on a couple of walks to see if it was comfortable. He was fine in every way.lToday June 8,2022 I used it for the first time for a vet visit for nail clipping. It worked like a charm. It was strong enough when he resisted, fit very well ( he couldn’t bite or bark) and he wore it comfortably for 4 hours ( supervised the entire time). He was able to breathe freely without stress or discomfort. The vet and I agree it was a major success!I can’t say how durable it is because I’ve only had it a month.I hope this helps others. I had a difficult time finding the perfect muzzle. After buying and trying others THIS ONE is by far the top WINNER!

Long read, full story of a garbage product
I'm pretty upset with this product, honestly. My dog highly disliked the cage which is understandable because it was new to her. After following the size chart and actually measuring my dogs mouth diameter and length, ordering the "correct fit" it was tight between the eyes and would not stay on unless tight around the neck as well.Again, all understandable because it's designed to start secure on dogs that may be a little more rambunctious. I allowed my dog a day of walking around with me around while she was wearing the muzzle, in order to show her it wasn't some sick and unusual punishment.I leave her in a giant master bathroom when I leave for the day, but she tears things up and I couldn't get her to stop.*This product comes into play*She wears the muzzle for 2 hours while my girlfriend goes out shopping, who confirmed it was properly secured before leaving. The was nervous it would fall off so she kept checking it before leaving.TWO HOURS LATERThe muzzle is gone, the dog completely ate it, so she was likely about to get it off within minutes of being left alone, and spent two hours just eating it. The strap portion was still around her neck and face, so the rubber part likely just pulled from the fabric portion after being messed with for only minutes.Furious waste of money. Stops poop eaters
Update on 9/26/19: The pit was incredibly determined to continue poop eating and figured out how to do so through the muzzle. We have switched him to a wire cage muzzle now. If your dog is very determined and incredibly smart, they will probably figure it out. Aussie mix is still avoiding poop.So I have tried EVERYTHING to get my two male dogs to stop eating poop when out in the yard with no luck. I was at my wits end with them getting sick and throwing up poop and also licking my kids after being out in the yard so my husband suggested we try a muzzle for them. I liked this one because it wasnt hard and it was advertised to stop biting and eating but still allow panting and drinking. I followed the size chart and bought a size 3 for both dogs (a 55lb pit mix and a 45lb mini aussie mix) The 3 fit the aussie perfectly but was too small for the pit, so we sent it back and ordered up a size. We've had both of them wearing the muzzles for 3 days now and it has stopped the poop eating! But they are still able to run around the yard and play (without getting too rough, another plus) and get drinks of water as needed. Like some other have said, to help it stay on we hook it through their collars and it stops them from being able to pull it off themselves or each other (aussie actually pulled it off the pit one day)I don't have any cons yet besides they ask to go outside way more then they used to, probably thinking they'll be able to go get a snack and only to realize that I'm going to put the muzzle on.I am extremely happy with this muzzle and the nasty habit it is stopping but given the chance I'm sure my boys would shred them to pieces.

Decent design but straps aren't long enough
The muzzle portion fit my dogs perfectly but the straps on the top and bottom were not long enough to reach the collar properly and causes the collar to pull the ears forward. I've managed to make it work but if you have a dog with a large head you have to measure more than just the muzzle. The straps for a smaller muzzle were exactly the same length as the straps for a larger muzzle, doesn't make sense. My dog's collars don't sit directly behind their ears. Also the muzzle is not made for dogs with big jowls like my Rottie, it squeezes him in a bit. Otherwise it fit well, seems durable enough and are working well for their desired use.
