Great deer feeder. The price is affordable. This is my second one in 3 yrs. They last that long in all the weather East Texas has thrown at them.

Well built but was a pain to assemble the barrel halves together!! The bolts to attach the 2 barrel halves are fine but the wing nuts were a total pain for my big arthritic hands to thread and get tight! They would be better off just supplying standard locking nuts instead the the crazy wing nuts. Programming the feeder was no issue and seems to be right on track so far. Legs fit fine and are sturdy, good quality. Just the right height particularly for us old guys who don't do ladders or stand on the back of our truck beds anymore. I filled a 5 gallon bucket half full and it was no issue to hoist that up 5 half feet to dump in barrel. Would recommend and give 5 stars if they would get a better system to put the barrel together!!

This item was extremely easy to put together and all of the mechanical parts of it have functioned perfectly so as a customer that has put maybe 300 pounds through it within the past four or five weeks and it has not malfunctioned a single time. I would say this is a great purchase for the price!

I absolutely love this item. I use it in my chicken coop during the winter to keep my chickens busy during the day so they don’t get bored.

My one-star review of Moultrie’s handling of a defective part on my game feeder is generous. I initially complied with every request: I sent pictures of the defective part, replaced the batteries, explained the defect, provided a copy of my invoice, and even spent time on a call with a representative to follow specific troubleshooting steps.Despite this, Moultrie kept asking for more—more pictures, images of wires cut from the unit, and even another invoice. After wasting considerable time, I finally told them my time is worth more than a $20 part.Their warranty process is unnecessarily complicated and feels designed to discourage customers from getting help. I will think twice before buying another Moultrie product.

We went on a trip and needed a trustworthy way to feed our dog. I had purchased an automatic dog feeder in the past but found that if the dog knocked into it or a cat decided to jump on it, the weight would reset and the feeder would no longer go off. We invested in this product and are so happy we did. I ended up buying puppy chow because the bits were smaller than the dog food our pupper normally ate. It worked wonderfully. We did fashion a “surround” for it using zip ties and screen so the food wouldn’t go flying far (that would just be mean!). I’m sure our dog would’ve been up to the challenge of finding all the pieces, but we had it fall just below the unit in a relatively nice pile.The unit was very easy to assemble, had no missing parts, and it looks good even right next to the house. The feeder is a great size and you can adjust the height of the legs as desired. It is very windy where we live and the unit didn’t tip over. It operates off of AA batteries and is extremely easy to program. There is also a “key” or “legend”, if you will, on the lid to the battery/setting compartment so you do not have to hold onto any instructions or look up how much food is dispensed in “X” number of seconds. I highly recommend either for use as a deer feeder or dog food feeder. :)
