This Scosche kit was exactly what I needed for my Jeep. Everything fit like it should, and it even came with extra parts I didn’t end up using. The install was straightforward, the radio looks factory once in place, and nothing rattles or feels cheap. Honestly made the whole project way less stressful. What you may care about: • Comes with the harness and adapter, so no wire-cutting headaches. • Sturdy ABS plastic holds up well in the dash. • Works with a lot of Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM models — just double-check yours before ordering.

This wiring harness comes with everything you need. Complete kit! Do not let any audio shop tell you this wont work. You do not have to fork over any crazy amount of money for extras or some fancy harness, as this comes with everything you need down to the splice connecters and zip ties. Very well made and makes the new double din radio look stock. Just an FYI to everyone. This harness is more/less plug and play if you know what youre doing. However, to save you some times. The red wire that comes with the harness will plug into the harness that comes with whatever radio you purchase and can be spliced into the yellow and red wire for the GPS system that sits atop the dash once you take everything apart. Very easy to do and the radio will turn on WITH the ignition. Great YouTube video on it. Overall, easy 5 stars! Picture is the after install of the double din radio I put in, you can see how close and stock looking the aftermarket face plate is. Have it screwed into slot 'B' when you install the faceplate for a perfect flush look.

For some reason it wouldn't let me give a five-star rating, only a four. Otherwise I would have given it five. For those who complain about fitment in certain vehicles, this one in my 2010 Grand caravan which is known to have certain kits not fit. Sometimes you have to use common sense and a little ingenuity. The factory metal frame that the back of the radio slides into has thin metal tabs on it. As long as you align the adapters to fit the front face of the radio, bend those inner tabs down a little the radio slides right in and screws right in with the four screws. Anyone having issues with this kit probably hasn't done many installs.

I bought this kit to install a touchscreen radio in my wife’s 2010 Dodge Avenger. It is her “beater” car, and had the basic single disc radio, which the CD player stopped working in. Also didn’t have Bluetooth for hands free, so it was time for a change. Overall, I’d say the kit was a solid purchase for the money. The harness works, the antenna adapter works, and with some modifications to the car bezel and the dash kit (more on that to follow), that works as well. The harness: Appears to be good quality to me, and has most of the critical wires. It does not have the switched power wire, but before buying this kit I looked at numerous other harnesses, and none of them I found do. Not sure why that is, but oh well. As it happens, I also installed a hardwired dash cam, so I was able to pull switched power with that and go from the fuse box. Harness seems to work perfectly, so while annoying with the switched power, doesn’t seem to be unique to this kit. And it does come with a fused wire to use for switched power, you just have to find somewhere to hook it in, so at least there’s that. Also, it doesn’t have wires for illumination or dimmer, but that seems to be a common thing as well among other brands. Antenna adapter: not much to say here, plugged in, works. Dash kit: This is my main pain point of the kit. Some of my issues were due to the radio, I assume. Possibly all of them were, who knows. I bought a no-name Android unit on here for about $100, so it’s possible if I’d have gone with a “better” radio, I’d be fine. Either way, I had to drill out the mounting holes so I could mount it to my radio. When I went to put the radio trim bezel back in the car, it didn’t fit over the radio and mount kit. The brackets weren’t quite square with the opening, and the radio went further down than the opening. As fate would have it, I needed a new cigarette lighter socket anyway (blew the fuse the second you turned on the key), so I bought another bezel of eBay and modified it so the radio would fit. Made it wider at the corners where needed, and trimmed the bottom to fit the radio. I was a bit hasty, so it doesn’t look as nice as it could, but that’s on me. Overall, with minor modification to the brackets, they seem to be doing the job. Connector kit: honestly, they look like they are good quality, but I don’t like crimp connectors. I was going to just solder everything myself, but decided to try out the heat shrink connectors with solder in them, worked like a charm. Now we wait and see how they hold up. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. I do think the brackets could be a bit more sturdy, but they work. And I also think that these harnesses could pull switched power from the car. The factory radio does, so why they don’t have that I don’t know. Same with illumination and dimmer. It may not be limited to this kit, but this is the one I bought and those are my frustrations with it, hence the 4 star rating instead of 5.

2011 RAM 1500 SLT fit perfect to replace the factory radio after it went out. Plastics were cheap but plenty of flexibility to allow for adjustments

Missing red wire in harness so radio will only work when attached to yellow power wire. But kills battery all the time because radio won't turn off by itself when car is off.

Nothing wrong with the kit itself, just didn’t work for my 2015 jeep patriot limited even though it says it does. It is not compatible with the steering wheel controls. It would’ve been easy to install if it was the correct kit but it wasn’t.
