I've always wanted to try to make hand-pulled noodles and this kit was the perfect option for my novice level. It came with the specialty tools needed, detailed instructions, and recipe cards. (Ingredients not included, so once you get the box make a shopping list based on the recipe you want to make.) I went off script with a favorite spicy sesame peanut sauce. I prepped the dough the night before so my husband and I could pull them together as a date night activity. The results were delicious and we'll definitely make them again with different sauces. Love that we have the tools now. Perfect date activity or friends activity. (Tip: don't skimp on the oil. The dough dried out where I missed oiling it)

For those who complained that this kit was too pricey for what you received, READ the listing in its entirety. There were no surprises! It was totally accurate. Anyway...this is a great kit, great presentation, great contents!!

I made the noodles last night; they were so easy and delicious! The noddles were soft and had that perfect amount of chewiness, and the sauce was so flavorful. I made the dough the night before and it was pretty straightforward and simple, and the dough recipe was the perfect amount for two people. I had fun stretching the dough and didn’t have any issues with those steps. However, the strainer basket provided was too big for the pot I had, so I was unable to use it as instructed. I boiled the noodles and was still able to fish out the noodles with the strainer. I really like that the kit came with different recipe options. I choose to stick with the classic chili and Sichuan, but the other recipes sound delicious and I can’t wait to try those out as well. The flavors were great, but I wish there was a little more sauce so I would make extra next time. I was surprised that I didn’t think it was too spicy; next time I would add a little more of the chili flakes and Sichuan pepper. I eat a lot of spicy food so my heat tolerance may be skewed haha. Overall I really enjoyed this kit. The recipe instructions were easy to follow and didn’t leave me guessing or confused at any steps, and the FAQ’s were also informative. The time frame given to make the recipe start to finish was accurate for me as well. Shipping was fast also.

Overall I thought the kit was pretty good! The noodles were relatively easy to make and follow the directions. I let my noodle dough sit overnight in the fridge and it seemed to work. But, I should have completely submerged them in the oil. I only had to halfway filled so the edges came out rough when I tried to stretch them the next day. Even though they were rough and don’t look perfect they tasted just fine! For the recipes I tried the classic chili Sichuan which was simple to make. I'm it has the ground sichuan pepper because I couldn’t find it anywhere in grocery stores! I don’t think I’ve ever actually had Sichuan pepper before because my mouth was tingling right after I took a bite of the noodles! It did calm down after I let the dish sit for a day but it was a weird mouth feel. This specific recipe could also have used a little sweetness I think because of the bitterness of the oil. I like that the whole process to stretch and cook the noodles didn’t take very long at all. It was easy to follow along.

My husband and I have been stuck in a rut with meals to make so we got this kit to switch it up. We had a blast from making the dough, to shaping the noodles banging them against the counter, and then pouring the sizzling oil on top before eating. We tried one of the recipes included in the kit and it was hearty and delicious. Can’t believe we made these at home! The set is really beautiful and well put together, would make a great gift. The tools will be useful even beyond making these noodles.

Accidentally purchased it. Was unable to use it. Tried to return and it’s impossible without signing over your first born. When I accepted fate and looked to see if I wanted it, you end up paying $60 for 3 cheap kitchen utensils, spices (that can be cheaply purchased elsewhere), and some recipes you can look up online for free. Unless you provide pictures of it being physically defective, it is NOT eligible for return. Buyer Beware!

I was gifted this noodle kit by a foodie friend and I’m SO excited to try it out! My boyfriend and I love cooking and are always looking to try new techniques and cuisines. We’ve really enjoyed Sichuan noodles before but never tried making them ourselves. I was happy to see some new tools in the kit that I didn’t already have in my kitchen (noodle basket, bench scraper, little ladle, sichuan pepper). The recipe cards look super yummy and have a range of spice levels and toppings to try. The instruction booklet looks very organized and easy to follow, with cute illustrations and infographics. It’s very thoughtfully put together. This is going to be a really fun date night or girls night activity that I can’t wait to try!
