PUREDROP - BEST ALL AROUND, GREAT PRICE, GREAT SUPPORT & A HIGH QUALITY RO SYSTEM
Wow Unbelievable. after 4 years - update. 2024. I called and talked with Nick again who provided the VERY BEST customer service I have ever gotten in my entire life. He answered the phone and within minutes my small install problem was solved and he is sending the part I needed at no charge. If you are looking for the best RO system, at the best price, you do not need to look any further. I did extensive research and found the Puredrop RO system to be the best overall. It has the best price, wonderful support, and is a very well-made quality system. ISPRING VS PUREDROP Puredrop is the same company that makes ISpring, which is also a very nice RO system. I was not sure if I should buy the Puredrop RO system compared the ISpring RO system, so I called support and asked the difference. I spoke with both Nick and Don who provided all the answers to my questions so that I could make an educated decision. ISpring RO t is more money, but you get more for your money: Larger Tank, a Clear 1st Stage tank, and a better faucet. In my case, it is just me and my wife, and I do not need a larger tank and I have a faucet from owning other RO systems and I would only be giving up the clear tank with the Puredrop System. CLEAR 1st STAGE TANK If you change your filters on time, there really is no reason to see inside the first stage. If you are forgetful, it may be a good idea to get the Ispring system with the clear first stage tank. FILTERS AND MEMBRANE I had other RO systems in the past, and the biggest issue I have found was the cost to replace the filters-especially the membrane, which can be as high as $40 for some name brands—especially if you have to have the check value built into the membrane. The Puredrop RO has the check valve as a separate component in the system, which eliminates having to buy a membrane one with a built-in check valve. PLUS, I love it that PureDrop provides an extra set of filters for the next time the filters need to be changed. After researching the filters, I found that I can buy generic filters for a lot less and if I wanted the Puredrop brand, it was not that much more. INSTALLATION AND SMALLER TANK The Puredrop RO system, which was easy to install with color coded water lines. So far everything is working fine and I really like the small compact tank, which gives me a lot more room for storage under the sink. There is no reason that I can see to have the larger tank for a family of two. CONCLUSION The Puredrop has been installed for a week when I wrote this review. I suspect that will not have any issues, but even if I do, I know that I can always call support: Nick or Don, and they will for sure take care of any issues I have for years to come.

Great taste, plenty of flow
We have had it running for 3+ months with out any issues. The directions were pretty good but I did buy a garbage disposal ro waste adapter. I didn't have enough drain pipe to install the waste clamp so the adapter worked. Everything else came for a complete install for most people plumbing. I installed mine in the basement and ran the tubing up into the kitchen sink cabinet. I also installed a T so the output goes to the fridge and also the facet at the sink. It also comes with a complete set of extra filters so this will last year almost 2 years with out replacements. Water taste great and even the dogs love it.

Solid product
I honestly wish I had something bad to say about this system. But I got it at a really good price (127$) and it’s working flawlessly. It was pretty easy to set up. The instructions were a little confusing. But overall very easy set up and it works pretty good. I also like that it comes with replacement filters. Got my water down to about 20 ppm but don’t quote me on that because I can’t guarantee the accuracy of my meters ha ha. It fits under the sink nicely. I don’t use it for drinking water, but I do use it for my humidifier and I haven’t seen any residue buildup in the room since I’ve switched to RO.

Very satisfied
We bought this during the latest prime day sale and we are happy with it. The installation went fine, though I did end up watching a couple videos along with using the manual to be sure I had things right. There were no leaks on startup despite there being at least 20 connections that could have a water leak. Most of those already come connected by the factory and you don't have to do them but they are still a possible leak source. I read a comment by a plumber that recommended putting something under the tank as the materials making up its valve are more likely to leak than others. This particular tank is smaller than most under sink systems so is better if it's tight under there. If you have a larger household you may want a bigger tank but I honestly think it's sufficient for most families and it is always refilling when water is depleted. My countertop had a hole already that was occupied by a soap dispenser, so I repurposed it for the included filtered water faucet and we fill a nice-looking dish soap dispenser that sits next to the sink now instead. Drilling the hole in the PVC pipe was much easier than I feared. Make sure it is done above the trap and the hole is the correct diameter. I purchased a digital total dissolved solids (TDS) device and the filtered water has been measuring 2 and 3 TDS, which is very good. The water tastes good to me despite there being no minerals and feels smooth in the mouth. It's nice knowing the water is pretty much as clean and pure as it possibly can be for us and our pets. The extra 3 filters included pushes out the filter buying time to 1 year. Reccomended.

Good filter!
This is my second time buying this product. We had one in our home and now we have one in our RV. This thing works great and was a great deal! I like that it comes with extra filters because I usually forget them. It's not a small system but we put it in two separate cabinets under the sink. I have the unique opportunity of seeing this thing work well because we move around and use different water sources. One campground had brown water coming out of our faucets but this filter still gave us perfectly clear drinking water(I didn't drink any of the water but it was clear) so I know it's doing its job. They last too, we have had one for over 3 years now.

So Let me start off by saying I have been drinking RO water all my life growing up... So when I moved to this country I spent the first few years using Brita's and ZeroWater's pitcher filters but they were not up to the mark for me (I have sensitivity to something in Tap Water that these pitcher filters just would not help with). So I finally decided to give into an RO. This RO was easy to install !! No Leaks (and this was my first time ever doing plumbing related DIY, Although you have to follow instructions to the T). I didn't install the faucet that came bundled because I didn't want to drill a hole in the kitchen sink so I bought a new 3-way faucet for my kitchen which comes with a RO connection in-built. The RO works good. The taste seemed to get better over time... I did purchase and install the extra Alkaline Mineral Cartridge to this RO (The one in the Orange/Red in the picture) to make the water less acidic which RO's tend to do by stripping out the minerals. All in all a satisfactory purchase and the Support(My conversation over Email with NICK) was pretty quick to answer any questions/rectify any issues if you find them.

As a plumber that’s installed hundreds of r/o systems, install is a breeze. Instead of the 5 stage I get from plumbing supplier I figured I’d try this for our new house. Other system had 200.00 filter change costs. Looks pretty much like a Hero system. Can’t knock it for the smaller pressure tank or short lengths of tubing that I didn’t use since I put it in mech room instead of under sink and used 1/2” pex for fridge and sink faucet runs. Good pressure at 30’ away. No leaks from system. A lil tip… get an oring that fits inside the tank valve instead of trying to Teflon tape tank threads and risk over tightening it.

Filters are proprietary. As far as I can tell, you must buy them from the Florida based company. If they discontinue or go out of business, you are screwed. I haven't unboxed yet. May be returned.

We installed this system about a year ago. It has performed flawlessly. Our well water has 17 grain hardness and .4ppm iron. The water produced from this system is absolutely clear and never clogs the coffee maker. Also people have told us that the water is “sweet”. Also received a courtesy follow up call from Don Huey a year after we installed. I’m very impressed with product and customer service

So far it’s excellent. Our well water was terrible tasting and now tastes as good as any bottled water I’ve had. Even coffee tastes better. The tap is nice to use and looks good. The water comes out fast due to the storage tank. The instructions are mostly very good. A couple headscratch moments but you’ll figure it out. The hardest part was drilling the hole through the countertop without a hammer drill.
