I have an Elna 704 serger. The thread is better quality than what is carried in the big box home sewing stores. If your machine is a serger for home sewing, I’d imagine the thread will be fine.

Will this be good for machine embroidery?

No. This is for more general purpose. Functional thread but not very pretty and probably not strong and shiny enough for embroidery.
