HawkHawk 18' Bad Boy 1-Man Ladder Stand

Super solid hang on tree stand. Bought this to take my son deer hunting. He is 12 yo and with a hawk helium sticks this will male for a killer gun n run setup. It is not super heavy. And with the straps, we should have no problem walking a mile or two to find that perfect spot. The seat is super comfortable and the platform to step in is wide.

Lightweight stand. Trekked several miles packing it on back with Hawk stix while on KS bow hunt, with no issues. The seat is something to be desired for comfort. Compresses all the way down and you eventually feel the grates from the metal stand on your bottom. (I'm 205 lbs, 6 ft) Supposedly they enhanced seat on newer models.

First thing you should know is that they are LYING about the weight of this stand. It is 50% heavier than advertised, which is a massive margin of error. Second, the seat came with mangled, bent, and broken cross sectioning, creating sharp hazards where my butt should be. (This caused rips in the provided seat). Third, the platform is small (which I expected) but the cables intrude on a majority of the platform space. Overall, a massive miss for Hawk Stands.

It seems to be well made. Have used it quite a few times now. Very light easy to pack in and out but the platform is very small. I’ve never measured it but I’m sure the listed dimensions are accurate but wow. Watch moving your feet at all with this!

I bought this and the Hawk sticks for mobile hunting in mountains. It is not the best option for walking any distance or difficult terrain. It is very quiet and simple to hang to hunt though. It is a great stand but will be looking for another option for mobile hunting.
