Old School Solution with Modern Tech
My wife recently had knee surgery and these walkie talkies were the perfect solution to keep in touch when she needed something. They are simple to use and have a great range while providing clear reception. I was worried about battery life, but they were on all day, for several days, and the battery indicator didn't even drop 1 bar! Cell phones are great, but this was a fun, easy to use solution to allow for ready communication for around $20.

Returned and replaced radios👍🏽
The original set of radios I got delivered were defective and wouldn’t connect. I contacted for a replacement. Got the replacement literally the next day which was crazy lol. The NEW radios were working just fine. They’re amazing. I use them for my son and I since he loves pretend playing and plus I use it for when we go out to large events in case he gets lost lol. The radios should instantly work without changing any setting or channels. The moment you turn them both on they should work. Double tapping the call button will send a “Ping” alert to get their attention. It can be used hands free, you can use a ear piece with it, it’s got a LED light source you can use in the dark and the display screen also lights up. Lightweight and sturdy. Worth the price honestly.

Didn’t work for us on the cruise ship
We bought these for a cruise to stay in touch with our son but we couldn’t use it on the ship. We tested them out at home and they worked fine. On the ship as long as we were close by one another they worked but other than that they didn’t so we didn’t use them. My husband said they were easy to set up. They use 4 AAA batteries. They were very light weight and have a little flashlight on them.

Works well at a reasonable price.
We thought they were rechargeable when we ordered them (our mistake) but love how well they work. We communicate between in areas with no cell phone connectivity, which is common when camping. We use them when we're driving, which comes in handy for driving through dead zones. Great when backing the RV into a campsite. The uses for these radios is unlimited.

Work Well As Intercom
These are not my first set of small radio walkie talkies, so I have some experience with them and this help me set my expectations. Our needs were specific with these in that my wife had foot surgery and has regular need to assistance from me throughout the day and night. As this is a long recovery (3 months) I felt like we needed to replace our failed set of radios that had finally died with something similar. I chose these and we have been very pleased. She can easily get my attention before speaking with the call signal (sent by pressing the speak button twice rapidly) and then we communicate. We are both pleased with the clarity and volume for $20.00 radios. We also picked orange and black which is hard to lose...and the clip on the back goes on a pocket, belt, or collar quite easily. We have not used them between vehicles BUT we have used them between her being inside while I was outside and they worked well in spite of the fact that our house has foil faced insulation and virtually no radio signals go in or out through it.Distance on our property might be an issue if I were to go farther afield, but I am staying close during this time. When I leave for short trips we simply switch to cell phones. The only issue we face, as some have pointed out, is battery consumption. I do not really believe they are any worse than any of the other radios we have used. We turn them off when we are in the same room or if I am within earshot of her. Some days they are on constantly (until bed time) and we still get several days out of each set of 4 AAA batteries. Would it be nice if they had rechargeable battery packs? Sure, but at a $20.00 price point I do not see that happening. Once she is back on her feet later this summer I will take the batteries out of them, store them away in the office, until we have brief need of them again. They are great for two people matching switches and outlets to breakers on different floors for instance. If you want to go the rechargeable route for more constant use, definitely do so! But for us these are just for a while, and then they will go up on a shelf.
