Excellent book for vocabulary basics, really helpful design and layout. NOTE: There is not any grammar instruction, it's purely a vocabulary book, though a helpful one at that.

really nice and easy to learn with this book

I've been working on Hebrew for about two years now, but I only got serious about it maybe four or five months ago. I was looking all over for some kind of categorized picture book, like a kid's book, to help, since the other stuff (flashcards, workbooks) I had tried was too darn scholarly (okay we can't all be as intellectual as we'd like to be). This book really does have somewhere around a thousand Hebrew words. Very specific categories--family, shopping, food, numbers, vehicles, etc. Most nouns are pictured. Verbs, adverbs, and general vocabulary words are generally not pictured--just listed. (No verb conjugations, either, but that's okay.) Words are also transliterated, but other than that there's not much pronunciation help. I may be too demanding here, since adding all these extras would also add pages and we'd end up with one of those books that's too heavy to carry. As it is, the book is only 72 pages long, with nice big illustrations, so I'm not inclined to gripe much--it's tremendously helpful to me.

It’s a nice book and the concept is great. Too bad there are multiple translations and language mistakes.

This is a Great Book.It's very easy to read.I LOVE the pictures which helps me remember.I would definitely recommend this book to children and adults.Extremely Good Value for the money.
