Nice product for a great price
It’s hard to find a good Thunderbolt based hub that you can leave at your desk. This one is great. It has enough ports to satisfy the need to connect or have fixed connection for storage and peripherals. It can take a USB hub connection and support more available ports. Plus it has a method to power the laptop, and has a pass through Thunderbolt to connect a Thunderbolt device. Also has HDMI for my second display, and Ethernet, which I use to access devices over a switch. It was a great find, and it works as it should and as I need it. Better than a dongle, and it feels more like a docking station. Hope this helps.

Nice dock with a flaw
I've become obsessed with 1 plug desktop setups, so when I found this dock with TB3 and all of the output options for under $100, I almost immediately pulled the trigger. It sits nicely on the desk, while having a reassuring weight to it. You can tell it's a high quality build, and it looks sleek and clean on the desk. HDMI pass-thru works flawlessly at 2k 60hz. It has plenty of ports for expansion (which I intend to use). The flaw is with the headphone output. I had the exact same experience as another reviewer: an audible pop when not playing audio, and on day 2, after resuming from sleep, the USB headphone output no longer shows up as a sound device. Kensington should consider upgrading the DAC in the next version of the product. There are a number of inexpensive chips that do a good job of removing any digital noise from the line. All in all, I'm very impressed with this dock (after a day of use), so I won't dock it the star, yet. Will update if that changes.

Unreliable
Initially worked perfectly for a few months and was satisfied with having a single cable that could provide power as well as to attach accessories to. Unfortunately, the dock also has an unreliable connection and at first needed to be disconnected/reconnected a few times a month, but now it is as frequent as every day. The dock also no longer provides power to the laptop and I need to use the charger that came with laptop. Several new thunderbolt cables, did not solve either issue and it's concluded that the issue is with the dock. If the dock had functioned as it did in the first few months, this would have been a 5 Star product, but because of the issues that I listed above, I would not recommend this product.

Best Thunderbolt 3 docking Station
I bought this Kensington Thunderbolt 3 docking station to expand my MacBook Pro M3 Ports and it does not disappoint. The two front facing usb c ports are 10Gbps, the rear usb c ports are thunderbolt 3 of which one is dedicated host port, so I’m not losing my thunderbolt ports which still is two. The there are 4 usb a ports one of which is 10Gbps. The Ethernet port works well and the headphone jack too. I use it mainly to connect my midi keyboard and my audio interface. I also have my Logic Pro library on external drive which is also connected to the TB3 dock. Lastly I have a LG 27 inch 4K monitor also connected to it via its HDMI 2.0 port. The dock also charges my MacBook Pro at 96W which is better than the 70W included charger. Only downside for me is the light stays on no matter if the MacBook is plugged in or not. All in all this dock is very well priced and is solid aluminium and feels really premium. Compared to other pricier options like the TS4 and TS3 the Kensington SD5560T thunderbolt 3 dock is a must have.

Fantastic with no dropouts
This is really a steal of a deal! The dock connects to my M2 MacBook Pro nicely and gave me all of the ported I needed. After waking the laptop from sleep, everything is on including hdmi and all connected hard drives. A lot of people have complained a lot other docks getting hard drive disconnected errors or the HDMI screen not turning back on and needing to unplug and reconnect things but not with this dock! If all you need is one pass through Thunderbolt than a Thunderbolt 3 dock that is reliable like this is perfect. It is very solidly built with all aluminum casing and connections are very solid. It has more of the feel of a dock $300 or more but I got this one for $56. That’s amazing for this quality. And it is very quiet with no coil whine. I was looking for a dock for quite a bit of time and thinking of ones a lot more expensive but this one is it for me. If it has the connections you need, buy it - it is very stable and better than a lot of $300 docks that have plastic with them. God bless and enjoy!

Works with Mac and PC
We just got it, but it works well so far. Ours has two 1920x1200 monitors (via HDMI and USB-C to DisplayPort), a wireless mouse, a webcam, ethernet, and a USB-C cable for phone charging attached and all work. I had to put the wireless mouse receiver into the front USB-A port for good reception. We've used it with a Lenovo Thinkpad with Thunderbolt 4, an M1 MacBook Pro, and an M3 MacBook Air. Update Aug 29: Still no complaints after 1 1/2 months of use. Other reviewers have commented that the ethernet doesn't reach full gigabit speed with Apple silicon Macs. With my M1 MacBook Pro I also only get at most 700 mbps. But with my M3 MacBook Air I get full gigabit speed. Tested with iperf3 on my LAN.

Buggy and Inconsistent
Seems to crash windows server on Mac. The result of this is both external and internal displays go dark. I need to restart Mac to get internal Mac screen working. Sounds like a Mac dock incompatibility, possibly a Mac problem. However reverted to a 20 dollar USB-C hub and no problem. I see no driver or firmware updates for this. Nicely built high quality. Great power supply and reasonable price. Returning spent hours on this . Log below. System Integrity Protection: enabled. Excelente precio, y excelente calidad. Decidi comprar otro incluso sobre Belkin, que ha sido mi marca de confianza desde hace varios años.

Works great, unfortunately doesn’t recognise the mouse and keyboard connected and since the work laptop won’t allow any installation of software/firmware the other ports won’t work but it does provide power. Screens works without a hitch

This dock is so great and at such a good price that I wish I could buy it again. I've been using it for over a year and haven't had any issues with it. It's relatively compact, port rich, metal encasement and works perfectly. I use it with a MacBook pro (M3 Pro) to support 2x4k displays (HDMI and Thunderbolt). All the USB ports are fast and powered (there are no USB-2 or power only ports). I hesitated to buy this because it's was almost 1/3rd the price of similarly capable dock, but so glad I did.

This dock worked well for just on 12 months..then the power supply started playing up. Constantly disconnects.. Lights on front and back flash on then off.. No help from manufacturer.. I’ll be putting this one in the bin where it belongs and buying another brand..

Great TB3 speeds, so not the fastest compared to today’s standards of TB4 speeds but looks great and is a solid connection. I use it on my desk to connect to my phone and charge along with offloading photos. Also adds extra monitor connectivity!
