Outstanding
This was a Christmas present for my wife & it was pretty straightforward to set up . After a long initial mains charge up , the solar panel appears to keep it fully charged , even in the winter , so it will be be fine come spring . I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of taking the unit back indoors to charge up. The batteries appear to be internal. The associated app will only let one person per WiFi log on . Solved this by installing the app on my wife's phone using my login details. But only one of us can view at a time........so far !. Maybe over time we will get it sussed. The camera detail is pin sharp day & night . During the day it also doubles as a security camera in the area the feeder is placed. It comes with lots a ways to tether it secure . Big & medium jubilee clips , velcro straps for tree mounting, & a drilling template + all relevant screws & rawlplugs. I opted for the velcro strap around a palm tree trunk . Solid fit !. The alarm & white light functions are good for scaring off unwanted birds . There is also a speech link , so seagulls etc can be sworen at ! Haha 😄. The white light can also be used at night to override the black & white infrared night vision & give a colour picture at night . A micro SD Card is required but not included. I had a spare one from an old phone & the bird feeder formatted it for me . Great bit of kit . Well chuffed with the purchase.

Impressive and easy to install
Spent ages agonising over which one of these to buy and finally settled on this one. I’m very pleased with my choice. Easy to assemble and install, solar panel works well and we had bird activity within 5 minutes (squirrels are still wary) Things I wish I’d known when dithering: Camera takes 14 hours to fully charge (less the 1st time) It can be mounted directly on poles, trees, fences, sheds, walls, camera tripods easily but not hung from above. The anti squirrel klaxon is incredibly loud (use sparingly) Works on two bars of WiFi over 35ft from the house. Image quality decent and screenshots are even more detailed than live feed. Pretty solid construction, not flimsy. You need an app to stream to phone or tablet and you need to make an account. (A little bit flaky when linking to WiFi and feeder but nothing unusual that your average 9 year old couldn’t cope with) All in all a reliable and effective bit of technology which has already brought a new sense of drama and interest to the garden. Would recommend.

Delightful! Well made & Excellent after sale support!
This is a real treat, and needless to say, it feels like a luxury product from the point of unboxing, the extra measures in place to ensure fixtures are easy and accurate, the set up (a bit tricky for me as I’d downloaded the Birdfy app at the time of purchase, but in set up it provides a Netvue QR code to a seperate app and this muddled me up having two apps - just follow the instruction on the one app it suggests and you won’t go down the same rabbit hole that I did). Every part of it is well thought out. You really know you have a luxury product, and the after sales support is excellent. The online social media groups are moderated by Birdfy staff and are quick to leap in with help if anyone is struggling. The solar panel is incredible. After my initial full charge, it’s kept the battery topped up and I’ve never fallen below 99% charge, even on the dullest of UK days. It only took 3 days to get my first visitor. Super pricey product, but it’s easy to see where your money has gone! Don’t hesitate if you are in a position of buying one. X

Lovely clear photos of visiting birds (and Squirrels).
This is a great way to observe the birdlife coming to your feeder. Very easy to set up and the app is straight forward to use. Videos are very clear making it easy to identify your visitor. I use the velcro strap to attach it to the tree, and surprisingly it holds the feeder firm despite squirrels jumping on it. The solar panel is also a must as it keeps the battery fully charged. I prefer this compared to the other bird camera feeder I have which was a pain to set up. In fact I'm so impressed with this that I have ordered a Netvue Birdfy Nest.

Turned into a nightmare
Not impressed. My son came and mounted and set it up for me. Then we waited for the birds. In the meantime I paid for the basic plan for a year. Finally today a Blue Tit visited but you had to be fast to spot it as it only recorded about 2 seconds and didn’t identify it either. I contacted Customer Service who suggested I had to take it down, which is difficult now my son has gone home, and factory reset it, which of course means emptying all the seed and starting again. What was supposed to be something lovely is quickly turning into a nightmare! I have since purchased the AI feature but am holding out little hope of that working if I can’t even adjust the recording length. So not a good review unfortunately

Easy to use once setup
This is a review for the Netvue birdfy lite smart bird feeder camera with solar panel Price Price is a little on the heavy side at £220 pounds, at recommended price of purchase, but you can get offers and deals which bring it down to about £180 pounds, remember it's the technology you are paying for Quality & Technology The feeder itself is plastic and very easy to assemble upon arrival, the camera is of good quality although the technology being used at 2.4ghz is a little dated and required me to split the frequency out on my modem to enable it to work. This may be difficult for people who are not particularly tech savvy and I can see leading to product returns. The solar panel that came with the set is providing all the power it needs to maintain a 100% charge in March so I can see no reason why this can't continue. You need to download an application to view the captured images or footage. You will need a smartphone with this ability. Thoughts I can see a couple of teething problems with initial setup for users over the camera and connecting to wifi, the instructions cover that providing you have a 2.4ghz WIFI but what if you don't? i feel the general audience it's aimed for wouldn't know or would just hope it worked. No drainage hole or mesh in the seed tray area and this had let to my bird seed starting to sprout after a week clogging up the bottom of the tray (not so much of a problem on busy bird station and feedback provided to Netvue) Overall Although the above initially may seem negative it's just an honest opinion. The bird feeder in the garden itself looks beautiful and I can see it being a talking or focal point in the summer once we move outside a little. The image quality is very good and acceptable, the application will send you notifications when you have motion at the table so you can then watch live or watch at a time to suit yourself. There is something calming about watching a bird feed live at a close and personal level not really seen before, I find this has helped reduce my stress levels and provide for my health and well-being. Would i recommend the product for purchase - absolutely and once setup and running enjoy the endless hours of your gardens wildlife.
