Very Good Camera for the Price
This trail camera was easy to set up. Very clear menu system. I would like to see two straps included instead of just one. It would hold the camera much better. But what really surprised me was the camera itself. I bought this cheaply at $29. I just needed something to identify what was crawling under my front porch every day and night. I didn't really care if the quality was subpar. I just didn't want to spend a lot of money for the purpose of identifying one animal. To my surprise, the quality of the camera was excellent. Very clear pictures. Even the video was HD and extremely clear. I am very happy with the performance of this camera. I think I would have been happy with this camera even at twice the price.

Doesn't glow at night, typical faint buzz sound
So far I like. It's screen is decent size and quality, functions are easy to use, the part I really like that I was looking for, is that it doesn't glow when I'm night vision mode. I use these types of cameras for both animals and human observation on my land. When the other cameras get triggered at night, some have a "oh hey look in recording 'on light' abs others use lower quality lighting that is faint but visible to the human eye. Which gives away the cameras location obviously and then people can just shine a flash light at them and you can't see who it is. However, nobody has noticed these yet, and the bears, raccoon, deer, don't avoid it like some other ones. Even better, as far as I can tell, the squirrels don't dance in front of it giving me hundreds of videos of squirrel action, that gets annoying with some of the other cameras. Oh and it snows, rains, gets heavy wind, only some days does humidity condensate on the lens effecting the video quality, I'll be watching for this. If things change I'll try to update if I can.

Produces very short night videos only, response time is very delayed at night.
The positive is that it produces very high resolution videos in great color during the day. It's menu is intuitive and easy to understand, so set-up is straight forward. However, the negatives are enough to prevent me from buying this camera again. It suffers from a problem many trail cams have. That is, the night video is only 3 to 7 seconds long regardless of how long you set the video length for. You can set the camera for a 30 second video at night, but it simply will not give you anything close to that. Also, it boasts a quick response time from the moment an object moves into the cameras line of sight. But this camera's response is very slow. Animals that wonder into its line of sight are well into the frame of view before the video will begin to record. On rare occasions, nothing can be seen on the video at all. I can only assume that it's because the animal passed through the cameras view before the camera even began to record. This camera is only good for daytime pix and vids. It's nighttime performance is pathetic. UPDATE: I have found that if the batteries are low, the trail cam will produce shorter and shorter night videos. My night videos got as short as 2 seconds long before I replaced the batteries. With new batteries installed, my night videos are now 20 seconds long even if I set the camera for 30-second videos. That's typical of many trail cameras based on what I've read. Response time to activate the camera when something moves across its view is still pathetic. FINAL UPDATE: I'm returning this trail cam. It's video response time in night mode makes the camera too flawed. The camera turns on so late when something comes into it's view that sometimes the animal has passed by before the camera turns on, and the video show no animal. Most of the time, the animal is only in view for a short time as it leaves the frame. Also, the camera's sensitivity at night is only 5 to 7 feet. Any animal movement beyond that distance doesn't trigger the camera. The infrared light is similarly limited. It's a great day camera, but it's very poor functioning in video night mode makes it of no use to me. I'm reducing the star rating to 1 star.

Works great for me
I purchased this after I tried several in home security cameras that will not hold wi-fi - kept losing connection; so tired of ordering and having to return these cameras so I decided to purchase this trail cam for in my home; since it works on batteries I don't lose connection. So one of my four dogs keeps pooping in the middle of the time on my carpet - I don't know who it is so purchased this to find out. Arrived yesterday so used it last night - guess they figured out I could catch one of them so they decided last night not to have an accident so still don't know but checked it this morning and it did catch me getting up in the middle of the night; clarity was great. Easy connection, great picture quality, easy to use and it's portable - as stated I've only had 1 day but so far I'm happy with it. Just pull out your SD Card, plug it into your computer and all your pictures and videos pop up. I may be ordering more for other parts of the house

Outstanding value and performance.
Bought a pair. Rain, snow, or shine they catch it all, even the neighbors sneaking through the lot. First night out raccoons and a small cat set them off and we started watching animal movies for entertainment. We live in the middle of the forest and purposely are the only property without a fence to allow the animals to get up and down the mountain. We’ve had elk born on our porch but had no idea how many animals were using the lot. Javelinas, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, squirrels, cows, and a massive mountain lion. These pictures shown are taken in the pitch black in the forest at the rear of our place. That’s a full grown coyote for scale on the size of the lion. He’s over 10’ nose to tail tip and can easily jump on and off our elevated deck. Which is what he did, why I bought the cameras to see how big he was and why my dog hasn’t been out there alone since. The cameras work very well. Trigger could be quicker but for $40 who cares! Most all of the animals can hear the cameras trigger and react in different ways creating some interesting and sometimes cute and funny videos. It’s also interesting to see how they almost all run on a clocklike schedule passing through within minutes of each other at the same time most nights. It’s cool to have them! I have learned to just set them up for video only for better results do to trigger lag. Properly dialed in I get 1-200 videos every 2 weeks and 5-6 months on a full load of 8 AA’s. No problems with the supplied SD cards so far either. I’m buying another 1 or 2 soon for better coverage. Buy them if you’re looking I think you will be happy.

I wish it was better
I have three of them because they work and they are value priced at times. There are two issues I don't like. First, there is considerable delay in starting the video after motion is detected. For example, if it matters to you from what direction a predator emerges, you will have a hard time figuring out because the first thing you see is the coyote standing still in the middle of the frame. The other thing I don't like is that battery changes cause the date and time to revert to default. Both must be updated with every battery change. Video quality is fine at this price point.
