good for kids shoes
Yes this is exactly what I needed to replace the cord lock on a pair of small kids shoes. Works a treat. This is the smaller style of cord lock that is suitable to 2mm stretchy shoe lace cord, so it's not bulky.

VERY hard to squeeze
I like these because they have two side-by-side holes, and they're relatively flat. I got them to make drawstrings for two nylon bags, and they worked perfectly. I used a 3mm cord, which is about the largest thickness that will fit in there, I reckon, and I only got it through after a struggle. The spring inside is quite strong, so it was rather difficult to squeeze down while trying to feed the cord through. Of course this means it will be unlikely to slip, afterwards, so that's good. My dad hasn't reported any issues with using them repeatedly, but he hasn't had them that long. Will update if they fall apart.

Holes are slightly small for paracord and spring tension is a bit soft. Seems okay for light use.
I bought these for general use with paracord, but getting the cord to fit into the holes required a bit of effort. I first had to re-melt the tips of my paracord changing the shape from a hard blob to more of a cylindrical shape. Second, I briefly applied heat to the cord half a inch in from the tip. This made it the cord stiffer, which makes it easier to thread into the holes. This isn't the worse thing in the world, just minor inconvenience. Once I had the cord lock on, I notice that the spring tension was a kind of soft. For most light applications I feel that this brand of cord lock would work fine, but in this particular instance I was using the locks on a Nalgene bottle handle I made. Holding the paracord handle and shaking a full bottle of water was more than enough to push the lock back. If this were strapped to my bag or body and I was running the bottle would have surely fallen off. I decided to just add another cord lock which made a significant difference. Shaking a full bottle of water with the double lock moved the locks a lot less making me more comfortable using this with my bottle handle. In the future if I were to do more projects that require the cord to hold gear or bear loads, I wouldn't choose these locks. For projects like cord bracelets or to replace cinch cords locks, I feel these would be fine.

Small Cord Lock
Item arrived next day. They appear to be of good quality, were smaller than what I need but they work great on small cord.

These are very small But work great
I was a bit surprised at how small these were...the description is a bit misleading..I believe it gives the dimensions for the whole piece not the holes...you can get a piece of 8 mm Paracord through the hole only if you melt and taper the end to a point. This was not a deal breaker for me though...they hold well. I have been using them on the masks I have been making during our covid pandemic. I sew Paracord into the mask as straps and use these cord locks to make the mask adjustable to fit tightly to the face.

fairly good product,
i didn't like their holding power.they were only designed for paracord.. i was hoping for multi use.

Worked great for my running shoe laces.
These did fit my laces of running shoes perfectly and they stayed tight while running, I took the picture after a 2.5 mile jog, I did not have to tighten them once. I have Brooks running shoes which come with smaller laces, these may not fit larger laces, but they work great with these laces.

Great for masks
I've used a bunch of these with 1/4" elastic to make adjustable around-the-head mask straps. You have to curl the elastic to get it through the holes, but it's not hard. With a loop at the top of the mask and one of these at the bottom, you're good to go! They hold fine for that purpose--I can't answer for anything else.
