Genie Sidewalls

I have a love/hate relationship with my CatGenie, but i am 100% happy with my purchase of the side walls. my cats are used to a deep litter box where they can dig down, and always peed on the side wall of the box (which was ususally a 6"+ height plastic storage bin...) My female cats were unable to pee low enough to keep it in the CatGenie, adding these (though expensive) walls was perfect! it also helps have less scatter, which will also require a rug to prevent granules over every floor in your home. if you are debating on purchasing the side walls, or wonder if they may help your cat adjust to the CatGenie, i absolutely recommend this product!

let's be clear here. This entire product is a RENTAL machine. You don't "own" this. The unnecessary cartridges you are forced to buy from them is your rental fee.

I had been debating buying this for a couple years. After my fourth "self cleaning cat box" of a different type I decided I could have saved that money and bought this in the first place. Took maybe 10 minutes to install in my laundry room that basically already had a drain ready to go. I set it at first for the recommended "cat mode" where it cleans every time one of my 2 cats go in it. Well that was quickly becoming a waste since they were going in it not just to do their business but it seemed they were very curious where there stuff went, so , the detector said "Hey I saw a cat let me start cleaning again" Well my thinking was I can stand 6 hours of cat smell in my laundry room that is closed off from the rest of the house, so I set it to clean 4 times a day. AWESOME, I have not seen nor smelled any of the other reviews of burning cat crap or anything like that. I waited to do this review to see if it would come later. Nope, Nothing, no maintenance has been done AT ALL. as for you guys complaining about the pellets getting all over. I put a tray under the cat genie, supported by a 3 sided frame of 2x2 boards. On top of the boards is a plastic screen from a fluorescent light. (It has plastic squares) The cats get out, their paws open because of the screen, the pellets fall into the tray, I haven't had to yet, but when it builds up a little I will just toss them back in. Problem solved. Love it!

First, the CatGenie itself is absolutely amazing. However, I have a BIG cat! She was having trouble squatting to pee inside the CatGenie and a little would spray over the side. It got quite messy and stinky. Since she is so big, the dome wasn't an option. So, I gambled and ordered the SideWalls. They were the perfect answer. Now, everything stays inside and gets cleaned by the amazing CatGenie. No mess or misses.

This product is amazing!!! It works perfectly, and even leaves the whole room smelling pleasant after a cleaning cycle. My husband installed it within a matter of minutes. My cat is pretty easy to transition to a new litter box, but he is skittish about odd sounds, so I was slightly concerned about getting him to use this CatGenie. The first thing I did was move his litter box halfway between its old location and the Genie. I also started running the Genie while my cat was nearby and giving him treats to get him close to it. I never forced him near it, nor placed him in it directly. Next I placed the litter box right next to the Genie and continued with the running it/treating process. Finally, I left his litter box right next to the Genie but dumped all of the litter out, and sprinkled just a tad bit of catnip (can't say the manufacturer would recommend this) in the granules. My cat started using the Genie immediately, and has never gone outside of it. The whole process took about three days.

I really like this machine. I have two cats, it took awhile for one of them to use it. the other one prefers to go outside and as long as that is an option things are great. The fact that I no longer have to deal with the small of a littler box is awesome to me as no matter how often I cleaned it I always felt like you could still smell it. you NEVER have that with the CatGenie. I have owned mine for about 8 months now. I have had to send the processor back under warranty as it stopped working but the manufacturer was great at getting the replacement out right away. the fact that it broke so quickly was concerning to me. so that I will have to hold off on saying anything more about as things break every so often (?). Nothing I try keeps the little litter pieces from getting on the floor. I have purchased the side walls and while that helped (a little) it did not stop the mess. My one cat is too large to use the total enclosure so I cannot say if that would be any help. remember to keep the manuals handy as there seems to be a lot of notices and beeps that you have to look up to see what it is telling you to do or look at now.

I was really excited to try the Cat Genie. The first problem I encountered was the installation. The T-adapter that came with the genie did not fit my toilet's plumbing. I had to go to Home Depot and spend an additional $10. It took 2 days for my cat to use the genie, only to find out it did not work! The genie did not drain the water at all. It appeared that the poop was stuck and clogged the unit. I had to stick my toothbrush into the unit to dislodge the poop. I had poopy water all over my bathroom floor! My cat is back to using the good old litterbox.

If you own cats, you will want this. My husband hooked it into the plumbing for the washer. We have 2 cats and when my daugher comes every other weekend, 3. We no longer have a “smell” from the cat box and I love how you can program when to scoop out and wash or do it manually if the need arises. Cats adapted without a problem...even the finicky one. We bought extra litter and have not had to use it yet. We bought the height guards, but hubby hasn’t had time to put them on yet and we don’t have litter on floor so it’s just a precaution.

Tellement pratique car lorsqu'il gratte au fond de sa litière, cela ne tombe plus à côté.

Avant, mes chats grattaient tout le temps le sable en dehors de la caisse, maintenant plus de problème. Je déplore juste qu'on soit obligé d'acheter un produit en plus pour pas avoir de surprise!

J ai longtemps hésité car il s agit d un investissement. Nous avons mis en place cette litière robot voilà presque 3 mois. Sur mes treize chats persans adultes, certains préfèrent la litière traditionnelle quand même.... donc il ont accès au deux types. Mais je Je souffle quand même quand vient l heure de faire les litières ! :) je n ai pas acheté Le couvercle, donc il y a toujours les petits granulés autour... mais un coup d aspic et c est nickel. Je conseille de place cette litière dans un endroit accessible aux chats mais éloigné des pièces de vie car le cycle de nettoyage est assez bruyant. Je ne regrette pas mon achat. J espère qu avec le temps, ils y iront tous .
