Excellent informational text and excellent info about worms! Pairs well well with the fiction text, Carl and the Meaning of Life.

My kids love how informative it is

This has made a wonderful addition to my Montessori classroom library. We have earthworms as pets, and this book has helped answer so many of the children's questions!

I got this for my five and a half year old son who loves worms. This book has a lot of good info about worms, and goes through the life cycle of a worm. There is no anatomical info about the earthworm, and at one point my son asked if they had eyes and could see and we had to google it. My only other issue is that the book cover and pages are made of very thin paper. Overall, it’s a nice book and my son really enjoyed it.

It was hard to see what this book actually looked like as only the first page of the copy was available online. I ordered 2 copies, one for my 3 year old granddaughter and one for her 4 year old best buddy. They are both very interested in earthworms. This book was PERFECT. The illustrations captured their imaginations as they have wondered how the worms "live" in the earth. They were gratified to know it is a good idea to take a worm that is struggling on concrete after rain over to a safe grassy area. LOVE THIS BOOK. A GREAT HIT WITH 2 KIDS WHO ARE FIRST READERS.

Beautiful illustrations. My Grand children are close to nature and could relate to this book about worms.

This is a wonderful book! The book talks about what the earthworms do during each season while incorporating the earthworm lifecycle. The illustrations are really pretty too! It's truly an enjoyable book :)

We used this for a homeschool unit (1st grade). It's a good book for teaching kids the basics about worms. It does not go over parts of a worm. I like the vocabulary words in the back. There is no character or storyline and some might want that.
