I’ve purchased this joystick replacement kit three separate times, and that alone says how well it works. It has consistently fixed joystick drift issues quickly and reliably every time. The kit is very easy to install, even if you’re not super tech-savvy. The included tools make the process straightforward, and there are plenty of tutorials online if you want extra guidance. Each replacement has worked perfectly right out of the box. I’ve successfully used this kit on both Oculus Quest 2 and Quest 3 controllers, and it’s been fully compatible with both. Once installed, the controllers feel brand new again and the drift is completely gone. If you’re dealing with joystick issues and don’t want to replace an entire controller, this kit is 100% worth it. Reliable, affordable, and effective — I’ll continue to buy it whenever I need a fix.

Tools worked well to disassemble the controller and the joysticks were a perfect replacement. Just make sure to look up on YouTube how to do and take your time. Both controllers now work without stick drift.

So as someone who is not good with tech this is a lot simpler than it seems but there are some hard parts. I'm mostly blind but if you have normal eyes and more strength than a small toddler then you'll be fine. The screws on the controller are hard to get out but after that its pretty easy. All the tools worked great and I didn't need to use anything else. It took me 3 hours from start to finish but my screws were in there really good! Good luck to you all but its definitely worth the 20 dollars! Also there is a video on YouTube for this exact kit! If you use it then it will be so much easier. Its by VR reviews.

Repaired our stick drift. Be prepared for it to take you like 40 minutes each one but now they work great!

We've tried various ways of fixing of drifting. Finally...the controllers were unusable. Now my kids did get the the new oculus but I wanted to fix the old one. Got these today. Watched a video. Took the controllers apart and swapped out the thumb switches. Put them back together and recalibrate them. Works perfect. All the needed tools are included. Just take a picture of all the screws and lay them out on a drawing. I draw on paper and just push them into the paper based on location. There are 2 longer screws in the top along with two shorter than rest screws that hold the circle wrap around the controllers. Just need to be a bit mechanically inclined to do this just because of disassembly and reassembly.

I had a backwards drift on my left controller so bought this and it fixed the problem. Only just tested it but so far so good. Takes some effort to replace but is a good option.

The product itself isn't bad quality, nothing too special, but it does include tools, though not all of which are useful. The included screwdriver is too bulky to fit in order to unscrew some of the small hidden screws. When you take apart the controller, theres a seal around the face panel of it that is destroyed when the panel is removed and the kit doesn't contain a replacement. Without the seal, the face panel doesn't quite sit right on the controller, making it harder to press the buttons. Also, replacing the joystick requires a full disassembly of the joystick, and it can be really easy to damage the electronics in the process. Another important thing to note is that there is a spring in the controller that connects to the joystick which detects when the joystick is touched, if this spring is bent or damaged in the slightest, this detection will not work at all and the kit also does not include a replacement. So while replacing the joystick will eliminate stick drift, it can cause other problems. Ultimately I think that this kit is okay if you're willing to accept that it may be a bit jank, but if you want to maintain the quality of the original controller, it would be better to replace the controller all together. That however is far more expensive. I would say to replace the controller or bring it to get fixed if possible, especially if you do not want to deal with the sensitive electronics.

Came a day late, but I was able to get them replaced. So far, working very well, and it has nice options for padding. Take your time and document along the way. You will be breaking them almost all the way down and removing 2 ribbon cables. The cable connecting top and bottom is the trickiest..you may have to assemble and reach in with tweezers. I have a professional electronics kit. This is is doable, but I also recommend something with a longer handle. I mainly got this kit for the joysticks and the shortened screw driver. Some screws are very tight. Took about 30-45min for the first. 15min or less for the second. Important! After replacing, dont forget to recalibrate! I thought it didn't work out and had the same drift issue. Forgot about calibration until the last second. Now it works perfectly. Recommended!

The product is fantastic, works great. The process of taking the controller apart to replace the joystick was a little time consuming and difficult however it was well worth the money saved from buying a new controller.

These came in a thin cardboard amazon package so I taught they could be damaged as not much protection, but when I opened it the joysticks were in a little plastic zip lock bag in a little plastic box so they were fine it took about an hour each to fix the controllers from watching a YouTube video i would recommend if you didnt want to spend money on new controllers
