What is the difference between loose and transfer?

Loose leaf is not attached in any way to the pages of the booklet which can make it more difficult to handle and it is best suited to objects with carved and/or complex curved surfaces.Transfer leaf is lightly adhered to the tissue backing paper in the booklet which makes it easier to handle, particularly outdoors. The gold leaf transfers from the backing paper when pressed to the adhesive applied to the object being gilded. This makes it better suited to flatter surfaces.Hope this helps!

How durable is this? I am thinking to gild the faucets in my bathroom. Will it hold up?

No, its too tender for that. part of the equation for durability is good adhesion, and then good protection. a metal faucet is constantly getting wet and changing temperature, and taking abuse of all sorts and it would be difficult to get it to adhere

Can it be used on skin?

This copper leaf product is meant for the decoration of objects only. Copper has been known to cause mild irriation if worn close to the skin so we wouldn't really advise you to use it that way. You would also need to use an adhesive which itself could irritate the skin. Hope this helps.

I’m wanting to apply to the outer hull of a small wooden model ship that about 12 inches in length. Will this product work for that application?

Absolutely will work however it is copper however unless you seal it 100% after your application the leaf will tarnish. I applied this leaf to an exterior address sign and then sealed the entire project with 2part epoxy (purchased on Amazon)
