Exceptional Performance in an Ultralight Package!
I recently took the Sea to Summit AirLite Towel on a backpacking trip, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. This ultralight camping and travel towel is fantastic for anyone looking to balance performance with minimal pack space.First and foremost, the absorbing capabilities of this towel are outstanding. It soaks up moisture quickly and efficiently, whether you're drying off after a shower or wiping down gear. Despite its lightweight nature, it performs as well as, if not better than, bulkier towels. The compact design is another major plus. The towel packs down incredibly small, making it easy to fit into my diddy bag without taking up much space. It’s perfect for backpacking, where every inch of space counts. The convenience of having a high-performance towel that doesn’t add bulk is invaluable.Additionally, the towel dries quickly after use, which is a significant advantage when you’re on the go. It resists odors and stays fresh, which is a nice feature for long trips. In summary, the Sea to Summit AirLite Towel is a top-notch product for any traveler or backpacker. Its excellent absorbing abilities, compact size, and quick-drying features make it an essential piece of gear. Highly recommended for anyone who values efficiency and space-saving in their outdoor equipment!

Nice, light, easy to pack—runs small
Definitely get the largest of your looking to use it as a bathing towel but it’s really small and light :) I got large and it worked out fine. I’d get the xl next time though.

Works very well
Absorbs water better than some in the shammy style. And it dries much more quickly. My only dislike is that when wrapping around the torso under my arms, the current (2024) largest size isn’t large enough to also cover my behind (and I am a petite woman.

Pretty good but hydrophobic.
I like this because it’s so lightweight. I was using a oversized bandanna as my camp kitchen towel but replaced it with this because it was lighter. My biggest problem with it is the fabric repels water. You can dribble water on it and the water will sit in droplets on top of the fabric forever without getting absorbed. So, its use as a “towel” is kinda limited. But, you can push water around with it - just don’t expect to absorb much. When backpacking, I prepare food while sitting on the ground. I use this a lot just as a napkin to cover my lap. Works great keeping my food droppings off me. Easy to rinse out. It dries super fast.

Lightweight
Good size towel for size and weight. Can stuff into bag, better than having to roll it up. It’s very thin and I haven’t used it yet. Will update after our Philmont trek.

Excellent, prefect size and weight
It just fits around me like a normal towel, just. I'm a very thin person!! If you are any larger than a size 3, you'll want to grab a size larger than the 20×39" size. I was shocked at how fast it dries as well. I used it at the West Branch State Park in Ohio the shower on my thru-hike, used the wall mount dryer to dry the towel, 30sec and it was 100% dry. Shocking!!! Love it!. I always have this one and my smaller 4 monster towel in my bag. I ditched the vented case and used a small lighter vented sac (a piec of gear came in it, my jet boil cup) to store both towels. Also it is very light weight for a chamois type towel!!!

Strange design decisions were taken
It is ok as a towel. Works surprisingly well for a plastic. What really confuses me is why there is no hook or a loop to hang it for drying or attach it to your backpack for the same purpose? Instead of such a simple thing it has a snap fastener in one corner, but only the one part, without a complementing other. What is it for? Should I snap it to my jacket or pants? What a mistery.Upd: there's a complimentary snap. Inside the stuff sack. What if I loose it? What if I don't want to carry it around, bvd there already a billion sacks in my backpack? Silliest thing ever.

Lightweight and packs tiny
Looks and feels like a giant eyeglass cloth. Used it at home before taking it with me camping. After showering and drying myself, my head, and my long beard, the towel was soaked but I was dry. It was dry a few hours later. I'm satisfied with it. It should be perfect for drying myself off after a quick dip while hiking/camping. The medium size shouldn't be too big to hang from my pack while hiking. If it lasts for three seasons I'll be happy.
