Beautiful dishes in vibrant colors. Love this set! Like the shape, with the sides on the plates. The stack nicely and fit into the cabinet as expected. Sizes are good and quality is excellent. Packaged well and nothing was broken. I have also bought the matching pasta bowls and mini sauce bowls. Like that they are dishwasher and microwave safe. Highly recommend these dishes.

I love these dishes. My only issue was the delivery. They sent the wrong color the first time. Sending them back was fairly easy and I was refunded quickly. I reordered and only received 1 of the 2 boxes. Still waiting for the 2nd box. So hopefully they come and I don't have to go through the refund order process again as I really want the 2nd box

Bright and beautiful! Great quality. How to have nice dinnerware without Grandma's old roses and gilt edges. The plates are larger than we need, but that's not a problem. We also bought the pasta bowls. Not real happy with the shape of either the cereal or pasta bowls--I guess I wanted Grandma's soup bowls! Also bought a set of coffee mugs--way too big at 16 oz.! They sell closely matching 12-in. cups in the right colors but not swirled. Sad to discover this was a limited edition that's all sold out now. Various bowls, plates, and cups are still available, but apparently the 18-piece set isn't. Update: I wrote that 2 yrs. ago. I wouldn't rate them above 4 stars now because they break easily. I thought that maybe we'd packed them poorly when we moved. Then I thought maybe we were klutzy (even though I couldn't see how). Now a number have chipped on the edge and one even broke straight through the middle into two pieces. Reading the 1-star reviews, I find that's common. Too bad. If it's really porcelain and not ceramic, it's low-quality porcelain. They're pretty, though.

First of all, I love this dishware. I've had it for 2 months now. It's beautiful and heavy and versatile. The colors are fantastic and I love the variety that Sweese offers. We use it as every day dishware. Now the bad part. The big plates chip. Way too easily. As in, it could even happen in your dishwasher. I love that the big plates have a lip, but the lip isn't thick enough at all. We have had two plates chip and we have no clue how it happened (we figure they may clink in the dishwasher?). So, that's a huge letdown. I put the fear of MOM in my children and we've been so careful with them that it's beyond disappointing to deal with that sort of quality issue. Lastly, Sweese will not sell you an individual replacement plate (per their customer service, not Amazon's), so you're out of luck unless you want to buy another set. Just food for thought. I know most people leave reviews right away, but I'm glad I could wait and write a more honest and accurate review of my experience. Buy at your own risk.. but you'll enjoy them if you do.. until they chip. So.. 3 stars.
