The beans arrived in perfect condition! Couldn't be happier with the new packaging
Just got the Chestbrew Moon Bear coffee beans today! I was so excited to see the Amazon box waiting for me. The beans arrived in perfect condition! Couldn't be happier with the new packaging! To be honest, I was thinking of purchasing this a few months ago but the reviews of how the beans exploded in the box made me hesitate until now. I love the look of the bag and especially the brewing instructions on how to brew for hot, cold, and iced. From the moment I opened the bag, I could tell the beans were perfect. From the wonderfully sweet fragrant aroma of the coffee beans to the rich chocolate color of the glistening beans. Even though it was already so late in the day to have coffee, I just couldn't wait to try it. I quickly grounded some beans, boiled some water, and took out the cafe phin (bought especially for these beans). And as expected, it was delicious. Sweet, smooth, and surprisingly not acidic at all. I can't wait to make a cold brew with these beans. Thank you Chestbrew for providing quality beans. And for giving back to the people who take such care in making the beans so great! Your product, your vision, and your commitment to the people behind the product will be something I will support! If you like coffee, you HAVE to try these beans. If you don't like coffee, these beans will change your mind.

Great taste!!
I was looking for a stronger coffee, bean for a Vietnamese coffee. This was a suggestion under one that I was looking for and I ordered it. Has a great taste, strong caffeine within the bean which is great and overall really enjoy this and I will be ordering it again.

Not a bad coffee, lack of "fruitiness"
Brewed this in a Aeropress, ground Turkish mokka (extremely fine), allowed to steep 4 minutes, 30 second press.. Not very flavorful, not overly strong. I could not pick up any fruit notes, chocolate, or smokiness (could be my taste buds). It was, however, pretty smooth, without a lot of fullness. The mouth feel was fairly nice, as well.

It's perfectomundo brewbro!
Fantastic coffee flavor that gets me going with no heartburn effects at all. I fine grind it and run it through my Mr Coffee and it's delicious with a touch sugar and equal and creamer and it's perfectomundo!

Better than Dunkin or Starbucks!
These are by far the best coffee beans I have purchased. They are a very rich flavor and they are better Dunkin or Starbucks. Highly recommend.

Not Impressed
I'm a lover of Starbucks, Peet's Coffee and high-end dark roasts in general. We've been drinking Caribou Mahogany and I wanted to try this after reading the description. Was hoping for a bold rich dark coffee. Well it's very dark, but I just don't find it as flavorful or aromatic or full-bodied as I had hoped. I guess I was expecting something along the lines of Sumatra. It's not terrible and is certainly drinkable, I just find it average hence the middle of the road three star rating.

I Was Very Surprised By This Coffee
I'm a fan of the YouTube Channel ADVChina and the Laowhy86, and Serpentza channels, by the same two guys. They began Vloging from the PRC and now make videos of travels in other countries including Vietnam. While watching one of their videos they answered a the question of "What is the best coffee you've ever had?" with, "Moon Bear Coffee in Vietnam, you can buy it on Amazon". So I did, not having the greatest of expectations because I've tried coffee from all over the world and especially South/Central American varieties. I was pleasantly surprised that this coffee is indeed very good. I'm not sure I'm ready to say it's the best I've ever had but it is close to it. I'm not a fan of the burnt bean taste so I wasn't really after the "Strong Dark Roast" flavor promised on the bag. I did not find it that way at all, if anything, it looked a bit weak when I brewed it and tasted smooth, as the other descriptor on the label indicated. This may in part be because I ground it coarse this first time. I may try to grind it a bit more next time.

Consistently perfect
I've been using Chestbrew Whole Bean Coffee for over 4 years now, and it never disappoints! The flavor is incredibly smooth. I brew it in my French press at a water temperature of 185 degrees F. The aroma is simply delightful and fills the kitchen with a rich, inviting scent. If you're a coffee lover looking for a consistently great cup, this is definitely the one to try. Highly recommend!
