I bought this for my outdoor sprinkler system. The pipe ends always seem to bugger up the threads and you are stuck buying new ones or tearing part of the system apart. With these just an easy turn on and off and you are 100% again. So easy with the Right Tools. I also bought the taps of the same size for the internal threads. Working Great!!!

I tried on half inch pvc and could not get it started. I tried heating and that made it start to work, but I peeled pipe every time. Tried it cold, warm, warmer and finally hot and no go. If it didn't have so much slop I think warming pipe might have worked. Just doesn't work.
