Bought this for my mother’s Parakeets, and her birds love it! Love how we just refill at the top and empty the trash at the bottom!

My bird took to it pretty quickly. I manually put some of his food closer so that he would see that's what was in there. The one thing that disappointed me was that the bottom tray doesn't come out from the back. So you have to take the whole thing off of the cage in order to dump it out. Kind of defeats the purpose in some ways. But it does help with the mess and holds quite a lot of food in the hopper.

The feeder will only mount outside the cage. The pictures showed 2 mounting holes so that you can mount it either inside or outside, but there is only one placed so it can only be mounted outside. It also looks slightly different than the pictures.

I wanted this to work so badly! I've been looking for an auto feeder for my parakeets for quite a while, but most don't fit the wide feeding door of our pervue bird cage. This one did, and it was ALMOST perfect, but our parakeet food is too small for it to work properly. The "hull catcher" bin at the bottom fills immediately with uneaten food that is too small to be stopped from falling in. Therefore, the food runs out very quickly, and defeats the whole purpose of what I'm looking for. The search continues...

I got this feeder to ensure my green cheek conure would have access to plenty of food while I go on a 2-3 day work trip in the near future. I didn't know how quick she would use these but she immediately went in it after I installed it. Yay!! Read on for cons and my reasoning for the rating... Cons: 1. There were zero instructions, had to look at pictures from the website to figure out install. Took away a star on overall review 2. It was advertised as able to install inside or outside the cage but mine only came with one hole to install on the outside of cage at an access door. Took away a star on overall review 3. Material feels flimsy and parrots/birds that are destructive chewers will more than likely destroy this pretty easily. I have a couple of months to see how my GCC will do with this feeder before my work trip - if she decides to start chewing on it I will have to remove because she could possibly chew herself out of the cage since I can only install it on the outside through an access door. Arrived cracked, missing the wing nut, and dirty.

The maker of this product should be ashamed of this. It’s flimsiest, bottom falls out. I’m returning it !!
