pliers have good grip and durable build. feel sturdy and not weak.

Heavy duty, well-made product.
I would highly suggest these vice grips, they are very well-made and feature a rubber grip on the quick release, my only complaint compared to the higher dollar brands is the adjustable bolt is not cut for a screwdriver for extra clamping power like higher end versions. You could always make your own with a different bolt or cut a slit in the bolt head for a flathead screwdriver bit to fit in.

Cheap and suspect quality set of locking pliers
One of the pliers in this set regularly comes unlocked, and the machining of the tools seems suspect. OK for infrequent use around the house, but not a pro tool by any means.
