My Bouviers love this food and do extremely well on it. Both are extra-large, long-haired dogs. and have excellent health with long shining coats. I just got a new bag today and was glad to see that the 24-pound bags now have a larger size kibble than previously. Much better size for medium to extra-large pups. Was thrilled to see that change. I highly recommend it, and so do the Bouviers!

My dog has had this diet for almost 7 years of her 11 yr life, she eats it slowly, like it is a healthy meal, vs some junk food meal, the waste that she puts in the yard attracts dramatically less pests (flies) than other dogs waste, plus I notice less bugs on her face and privates when we are out backpacking and around other dogs being harassed by flies and other pests out in nature. She has a shine to her coat, partially because I give her hour massages every 2-3 days, and stays nice and lean that allows her to still go on 1week to 6 week hiking adventures with me. I do wish the smaller bags were less expensive, it makes for a very costly hike, normally I’ll just buy the bigger bag, fill up what I need, and donate the rest. One time hiking on the Appalachian trail near Elizabethton, Tn we were harassed, chased and told she can not be vegan, and they wanted and succeeded at taking her from me in Damascus, Va, I protested on the curb of city hall for three days, may 29th to May 31 2019 until fri which they arrested me for animal cruelty, 6 days in jail, 9 days in county pound(dog), found not guilty with no lawyer, but with out the help of some of the townsfolk that knew me while I was staying at local establishment broken fiddle hostel (lovely people) fighting for me, even came to get me from jail, I might of still been in jail. Even when leaving jail, the retired vet woman that picked me up said “it’s not safe for you to be in town, we are getting you a bus ticket to where ever you think is safe. So beware of others in unknown that do not believe in this food as an option for animals.

This is the only kibble that my very picky older dog will eat! We add some sort of cooked meat on top of it to make it more enticing and ensure we meet his dietary requirements and he eats it right up. It seems like the kibble is a good size and texture, my dog has never had an issue eating it up quickly!

I bought it for my friend's dog and everything was fine for the first couple days. Pretty standard stuff, He would put in a bowl and then the dog would eat it. This continued on for probably about 3 days without incident, but then something changed on the 4th day. I noticed the faint aroma of healthy grain and vegetables. I stared at the dog's bowl, the fires of jealousy burning bright in my eyes. I wanted what Spot had. I am not talking just about the food. I wanted the naps, and the belly rubs. I got sick of watching him live my perfect life. Sure, I had some money, a decent job, a family that loved me. But was I a dog that got to enjoy the 28 lb bag of Natural Balance Vegetarian formula dog food? No, no I was not. This kept me awake. It was a desire that burned deep into my soul. So I decided to do something about it. It was just after midnight on the 7th day. I knew exactly where the dog food was kept,and I wanted it. So I crawled out on my hands and knees to enhance the experience. I tied a silk grey tie around my eyes to see only in grey. I would have what Spot had. I found the food after sniffing carefully around the cabinets. I knocked it over with ease, I was the biggest dog now. A canine champion. The food spilled onto the floor as I howled and began my feast. They should have kept it higher. But it would have been no use. I was like nothing they had ever seen. I ate until my stomach lining expanded, then I ate more. I could feel the Natural Balance strengthening my newfound canine abilities. I could feel my hearing sharpening, I could feel the desire to lick my own testicles and the ease at which I could. I lay there in my own filth, surrounded by the remnants of my feast. The transformation was complete.10/10 would buy again

We have purchased this dog food for the past 18 years and love it. We would be devastated if this was ever discontinued.Our 18 year old shih-tzus are still alive! How many dogs do you know that live that long? We are so happy that they have lived as long as they have and credit their good health to their food. Our groom has always commented on their beautiful coats. We hope for many more years thanks to their healthy food.We also have an 8 year old Golden Retriever and a 3 year old Goldendoodle that have always eaten this dog food. They are thriving and have beautiful, soft coats with no hotspots at all.Every time we meet other dogs, we notice their stinky, oily dog smell that our dogs have never had. That is another positive about this dog food. No yucky dog smell.Our dogs all love the taste, are extremely healthy, don't smell, don't have skin issues, and are living to a very old age. What more can you ask for?Please feed your dogs this dog food. They deserve the best!

This is not 24lb but rather 20lb. It’s definitely better than animal-leftover based “kibble” (all commercial brands) and I’d give this to my babies over animal flesh and secretions every time, but we’ve switched to wfpb home-made food instead because it’s better for them than processed kibbles. They did like the taste of this though. Dogs are not carnivores, they don’t require flesh in their diet. My babies have been plant based for 7+ years and thriving. We don’t need to oppress other beings for our companion animals. This is one of the options for busy parents that doesn’t require others to be exploited.

Medium size kibble good for small-medium dogs. Good smell. My dog loves it. Easy to digest--good "poop," no gas.
