Review: Such a fun game! Plays very similar to the card game Uno but with words. I use it as a Reading Specialist with my intensive intervention groups and they love it! It helps with decoding, phonics, and word recognition. Review: Blah blah blah helped my son take an interest in learning to read. We had been struggling for a while on his journey to read and he was not interested. This game made it fun and helped so much! We had him read the cards that everyone laid down. This game is similar to uno gameplay. We played as a family and all had a lot of fun. The three levels is great too as your child improves the reading level. The only thing is there a too many wild cards, haha. Even with good shuffling, you will end up with a ton. I started taking several out to even the playing field. All in all, this was a great purchase and investment to my son's trading journey!

Great for kids who love uno style game and are learning to read. My daughter loves plying uno and is working through the bobs books series. This game is a fun way to practice reading skills and phonics sounds. She fights me on reading but loves playing this game. The words are all one syllable even on the hard cards. Words are broken up by sounds. It's ideal for those working on nailing down letter sounds, blends and diagraphs in one syllable words.

I played this today with one of my groups and it was such a success! The group stayed engaged and even I wasn't bored out of my mind waiting for them to take turns as I am with other reading card games. The game has a peppy pace and the wild cards make it interesting as they started to strategize as they played as well. Some fierce funny rivalries broke out. The levels of the game are really going to depend on the sequence of skills in your program. Personally I find the hard deck actually the medium as vowel pairs are more unique patterns to remember an often introduced later than digraphs (the, sh, ch, etc.) and the floss rule in almost every program I know of. Good news is I can easily adapt to my needs by pulling cards. Overall a hit I can't wait to try with other groups. I agree with the criticism I saw in the comments as there isn't a lot of sounds differentiate to practice between the levels. I would loved to have seen more variety. Its still good value for em as I will continuously reuse it with groups, but for a single kid the replayability may be more limited. There are a lot of wild cards but in my opinion that helped the game consistently be moving. I think this also plays out better in larger groups (4 or more) as in a smaller setting it would become tedious. Easily fixed by pulling them out
