I am returning this skillet. It ended up being to big for our oven. Make sure you measure the depth (front door to back of oven). The actual size of the skillet is 19.5 inches, not 20". The quality is fantastic. Heavy duty and well made. It's a really nice piece. I am disappointed that we have to return it. I'll be exchanging it for the 16" skillet.

I haven't used this yet, in spite of being preseasoned, I'm going through the seasoning process. Rim to rim it's 19 1/2" with handles 23" it is huge & just what I was looking for.

It’s a beautiful skillet/paella pan. But….the recipes I follow call for the paella to be finished in the oven. And the one I ordered doesn’t fit! Total brain cramp on my part. I’m keeping the pan to use over outdoor fire and propane burner. But…. For indoor use make sure it fits on and in your stove!

Inside of pan is very roughly finished, creates food sticking, difficulty in cleaning. I am going to buy an angle grinder and attempt to grind the interior to a smooth finish. I have several cast iron pans and none have the uneven rough finish as this one. I would not purchase this pan again.

The goal of having cast iron pans is not for heat retention but the rough handling and abuse you could throw at it. However, the rough surface will chew up your utensils. I know it claims to have a rust-proof coating but I don't need it. A well seasoned cast iron pan never rusts. I had to smooth the surface with an angle grinder. Another down side is that it is noticeable thinner than the 2 brands that I'm familiar with (Lodge and Bayou) but it is still a cast iron. I bought it because I thought it couldnt go wrong but it does. A plus side is that I ordered a used one for $40 less but I received a brand new. So I'll keep it.
