Reference Next-Generation R-50C Horn-Loaded Center Channel Speakers for Crystal-Clear Home Theater Dialogue in Black

I purchased this center channel for an all-Klipsch 3.1 system. My space is limited, but this unit was a nice compromise between size and performance. Excellent Klipsch sound. Clear, crisp center channel where the dialog is. I no longer have to turn the volume up to understand the dialog. As any good speaker, this bad boy is heavy. I was a bit concerned that the rather flimsy shelf on my stand would not support it, but it’s been fine for over a year. Solid purchase.

This is the best central speaker I needed, as I was upgrading my home theater system I bought an AVR Dennon 5.2 from my old and reliable AVR Sony 5.1 from over 15 years ago,I have two new tower speakers and also I bought 2 subwoofers klipsch, but I had a central speaker that worked fine with my previous system but with these new subwoofers in order to hear the voices the bass overwhelmed the center speaker so in order to fix this I bought this klipsch central speaker and everything changed immediately now I do have an excellent home theater system balanced and with awesome bass and clear voices I only miss a little treble for the higher frequencies because the tweeter lacks of the higher frequencies

My center channel speaker was a JBL, the tweeter was blown years ago, but just never got around to replacing it, as I just used other modes with my receiver. But I wanted that muffled center channel to go away, so I decided to finally replace it with this Klipsch. Oh my! Amazing sound, even better as I remembered my JBL before the tweeter was blown. Crisp clear sound all the way around and can handle so power. Excellent speaker.

After spending a lot of time fine‑tuning home theater setups, I’ve learned that the center channel is usually the make‑or‑break piece for everyday viewing. The Klipsch R‑50C does a lot right, especially for its price, and it ended up being a noticeable upgrade in my living room. The first thing that stood out was dialogue clarity. The updated horn design gives voices a crisp, focused presence without the sharp edge older Klipsch models sometimes had. Even during busy action scenes, speech stays easy to follow, and at lower volumes the articulation doesn’t fall apart. That alone makes it a strong choice for anyone who watches a lot of TV or movies in the evening. The dual 5.25‑inch woofers handle the midrange well enough to give voices some body, though they can sound a little lean if your crossover is set too high. Once I dialed mine in around 80 to 100 Hz, the balance felt much more natural. It blends smoothly with other Klipsch Reference speakers, so pans across the front stage feel cohesive rather than disjointed. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The cabinet is wide, so make sure your stand or shelf can actually fit it. And while it performs well in small to medium rooms, it doesn’t have the same dynamic weight or low‑end authority as Klipsch’s higher‑end RP centers. If you’re trying to fill a very large space, you may want something more substantial. Overall, the R‑50C delivers clear dialogue, solid build quality, and a modern Klipsch sound that works well for most setups. It isn’t perfect, but it’s a reliable and worthwhile upgrade that improves everyday listening without stretching your budget.

I had Boston Acoustics and M&K Center Channels previously that were a 7 out of 10, but had issue with clarity of voices or lower voice level at times . This Klipsch R50C center channel has a amazing sound and highly recommend. I am in a 18' X 18' room and its easy to hear voices and a lot more sound information is coming from center channel. Highly recommend R50C because it's at a reasonable price and outstanding performance. Rate a 10 out of 10)

Once I got the speaker set up and dialed in and the freq’s set. Sounds great. The phone really doesn’t pick up the sounds but it came out great. Now just gotta get rear surround speakers set up in the ceiling.

Love how this sounds

I replaced a 20 yr old B&W C2 Center Channel with this speaker. I needed a bit more clarity and volume to compete with my tower speakers in my home theater. That's exactly what I got. Dialogue is much brighter with the ubiquitous Klipsch tweeter horn. In the past, I avoided Klipsch speakers because of the harsh horns. Now with my older ears and necessity for more presence in the center - this speaker was the right speaker at the right time....at a fair price.

Cambié las bocinas originales del receptor por estas Klipsch y no tuve que invertir en otro receptor para escuchar con suma mejoría la calidad de sonido. Las recomiendo ampliamente si tu receptor o amplificador son compatibles.

KEF R5 hoparlörlere eşlik etmesi için aldım, alan problemim vardı. Bütçesine göre sesini çok başarılı buldum. Ama Klipsh Horn'lar güçlü anfi istiyor. Sesler surround film ve müzikte gayet net.

Diffusore centrale eccezionale. Volevo cambiare da anni il mio centrale della onkio,e dato che ho da poco comprato le klipsch r51 m volevo completare l'impianto con un centrale della stessa serie "reference". Bassi profondi dialoghi vivaci ,ma mai invadenti, semplicemente spettacolare!

Perfecto para mi home cinema, tenía un infinty de hace muchos años y ya era hora de cambiarlo por este altavoz central clipchs R-50C. Suena muy bien y los diálogos se escuchan muy claros. Lo recomiendo al cien por cien si no te importa gastarte algo más de dinero pero sabes que tienes calidad

Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut und der Klang überzeugt sowohl bei Kinofilmen als auch bei Musik. Die Höhen sind klar aber nicht übertönt, die Mitten und Stimmen sind warm und deutlich und die Tiefen Töne sind wunderbar dumpf, wie es sich für ein geschlossenes Gehäuse gehört und gehen außergewöhnlich tief für einen Centerlautsprecher in dieser Größe. Das nimmt man gern mit auch wenn man es im Heimkinosetup nicht benötigen würde. Fazit: Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung in dieser Preisklasse und Baugröße.
