Q: are these 3" tablets?

The Septicfit tablets are 2.5" or 63.5 mm and are made to fit the 3" tube for aerobic septic systems.

Q: We currently use liquid bleach, how would we replace that with these tablets,?

If you have a sand filter system, there should be a 6” diameter pipe sticking up out of the ground before your pump tank. Inside that 6” pipe there should be a tablet rack which typically will hold around 15 tablets and as the water flows in the horizontal pipe, it erodes the bottom tablet away. 15 tablets last the typical system 3-6 months depending on usage.

Q: Any tips on how to get the bucket open so we can get to the tablets?

The bottom part of the lid has a plastic strip that needs to be removed before you can open container. Take a screw driver or pliers at the front slot break the seal and peel the strip 360 degrees and remove. The lid can now be easily opened and closed.
