This is a great gate. It's easy to use & I really appreciate that there are height options. It is light, sturdy & easy to use & reasonably priced. Most importantly, it works perfectly. (Sadly, they are apparently out of the 32-inch option, but I hope to see it back soon because I need another one!)

This gate works great! We have had lots of gates that open so you can go back and forth. They don’t last very well. So when the last one failed we decided we only needed a gate when we left the house. This gate is easy to put up and take down. Less than a minute. I am very happy with this gate.

Overall these are great for your taller pets, we bought two for our German Shepard for when we were at work while he was still a pup and didn't want him to get into anything or accidents on the carpet. These worked great and were very secure, adjusting and latching was simple and easy. The gates are mostly made of "wood" and seemed sturdy enough, we never set the tightness too strong to cause stress on the parts to break but one of the gates adjustment bars snapped and made it completely useless. The other gate is holding out great, though we rarely use it now that our dogs are grown and can be trusted alone in the house. These aren't bad products by any stretch, but I would caution on over tightening or on the adjustment bars longevity. Good buy overall

Bought to use for 2 cats on introduction to new household. It is perfect though one cat did decide to go over but that is not the fault of the gate. It is the usual old school mechanism to adjust and then apply tension to keep it in place. I've used it at its smallest width at a stairway and largest in a hallway with no doorways involved. I move it from place to place regularly and it around around. What you see here is what you get and it is mechanically sound and well built. One note, if you plan to leave it in place in one spot think long and hard about how high it needs to be cause mine at 32" isn't 'simple to step over but doable for 5'11" but the shorter here struggle and take it down each time they pass. If you know the best size keep in mind the humans who will step over it. I'll add many gates have only vertical slats. This has screen which has horizontal slats too which makes it very climbable if whomever you are containing is a climber. You can't go horribly wrong here. BUY.

I was honestly worried about the product when I read some of the reviews. I have a chihauhau who likes to chew so I was concerned she’d tear up the gate. I bought two for my kitchen to use when I’m at work and I have a pet camera installed. I’ve had it for a week and so far so good. She doesn’t even bother the gate or try to get in another room. The gate is a tad bit wobbly but once in place it doesn’t move. I suppose it’s perfect for a small dog. It’s tall enough so they can’t jump over. As far as the latch and locking it in place, it’s a bit of trial and error but once you figure out what notch to put it on it’s so much easier. I’d suggest marking the notch with a sharpie. I read the latch breaks easy but I haven’t had that experience yet. I guess you have to be gentle which helps if you mark the notch with a sharpie. I’ll see how long the gate last.

This product does what it’s meant to do- act as a barrier from one room into the other. I have a 40 lb dog, who is still growing, and I fear the first time he jumps on the gate it will break in half. It comes I. To sliding panel pieces that you have to attach together with screws. The wood feels like a cheap pine, just waiting to snap. I will be needing to find a strapping piece to give it more support, and will update this review when I do. If you’re looking for a small gate for a baby or small dog not exceeding 15 lbs this will work good. If you have a chunky dog or a rambunctious toddler, you’ll probably be needing to find a replacement once this snaps.

The gate is excellent! The equivalent of two of the smaller 22" height gates stacked. The quality is amazing. It is a very solid gate, which makes me wonder how in the heck the shippers completely ripped the width adjustment and locking bar in half--not snapped in half, splintered and ripped in half. Be aware that if the gate arrives damaged you will have to re-package it and bring it to a UPS store (not a drop off box or Staples or CVS or any place other than UPS itself), because it is quite a large package. I wish Amazon had an automatic replacement system for broken items. Instead, one has to wait for the refund and then re-order item.

This pet gate has honestly been a great find, and I wish I had discovered it before spending close to $200 on other gate options that didn’t work nearly as well. Setup is incredibly easy. It adjusts smoothly to fit wider doorways (right around 29–50 inches), widening in the middle using notches, which also creates a nice amount of tension. That tension is key—it’s enough to make dogs pause and think before pushing through. For reference, I have a 105-lb German Shepherd and a spunky 40-lb Pit Bull Terrier mix. This gate absolutely deters them from entering rooms I don’t want them in. It’s especially helpful for blocking staircases or creating a temporary barrier when I’m bringing in groceries. Now, to be realistic: this is not Fort Knox. If my dogs saw a cat outside and were highly motivated, they could push through it. But that’s not what I need it for—and for everyday use, it works exactly as intended. It creates hesitation, buys me time, and establishes boundaries far better than the metal baby gates or wall-mounted screen gates I’ve tried. Compared to other gates: Easier to set up than bulky metal gates Doesn’t create an awkward, narrow walkway More effective than retractable screen gates Simple, lightweight, and functional It does what it needs to do without being overcomplicated, and that’s what makes it so good. I genuinely love this gate and recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable, flexible way to block off rooms or staircases—especially in homes with larger dogs. If you’re looking for a deterrent, not a maximum-security barrier, this gate is absolutely worth it. I only wish I’d found it sooner.

This is the second time I purchase this gate, I needed a second one to use at my home office door to keep my kitty from jumping on my desk while I work. The first time was 4 years ago and I am still using it daily. It sturdy and simple and it works well.

Yes, this is a lifesaver! Two new pups who are often a little poopified first thing on a morning. This gate, combined with a couple of others, allows me to confine them to the hall while I clean up the mess, without worrying about dirty footprints in the rest of the house. It's well built, easy to use, no setup needed and highly recommended!

Simple setup, make sure of your measurements before buying! Using this to keep cats out of the room and so far it’s great and sturdy.
