Review: Great Star Wars book - A great book for Star Wars fans packed with facts and pictures. Looking forward to the third book coming out later this year. Review: Much better than previous volume - So I was not a huge fan of The Star Wars Archives - original trilogy, I thought it is an unnecessarily big ang bloated volume with stuff already published a million times. The base concept is the same for this book too, so if you dont like the idea of a gargantuan block of brick sitting in your lap, this book is not for you. With that said, I think this book delivers its premise better than its predecessor - stuff inside is more rare and the information is more new - altought I have to point out that the book draws heavily from "The Beginning" Phantom Menace documentary and other documentaries published on Youtube. My only problem with the book is that the pictures and the text go about in their own pace, so there are times where the interviews and pictures have no connection whatsoever. Sometimes the text catches up, then it loses it again. That is a stupid thing, but overall not a huge issue. I was very happy with this purchase and I read this book from beginning to end really soon after I bought it - something I can not say about the Original Trilogy edition which still sits on my shelf half read a year later. Printing and binding quality is superb, but it was also superb in the previous edition. Overall, I still think these books are way too big and should have come in a smaller format, but I think the writer really corrected a lot of mistakes from the first volume. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Small format Star Wars book
I bought both this book on the Prequel trilogy and the one on the original trilogy. They are about the same size as a hardback annual, which rather compresses the contents. They detail the making of the films with some concept art and plenty of production photos with background notes. I believe these books are also available in landscape format which might be more readable, though I think they're much more expensive. These are nice books on the making of the first two Star Wars trilogies, but not essential for me. I think I'll start saving up for the Ralph Mcquarrie concept art books which are about £145!!

Great Book and follow up to Original Trilogy
Great Book and follow up to Original Trilogy Packed full of pictures and info, some i had never seen before, this is well worth the £15 asking price i paid and is a great alternative to the massive full priced verison.

You get the full birth of the prequel trilogy in one massive, insanely detailed volume: from early Anakin ideas to Revenge of the Sith’s lava-soaked finale, packed with concept art, storyboards, script pages, and on-set photos that make you want to rewatch everything immediately. The whole thing is put together with George Lucas and Lucasfilm on board, so it reads like an official deep dive rather than a random fan compilation. If you grew up with the prequels or just love seeing how huge films actually get made, this is the Star Wars book that actually earns the word “definitive.” R

This one is a keeper. I loved it as a gift. Pictures and stories I had never read anywhere before. And insights from the people who created Star Wars.
