This is the best craft book I have EVER purchased. I had never made a rope basket before and the instructions in this are very clear with step by step photos. The projects are all very nice and things that I would actually make. In addition, various techniques are shown, including dyeing the baskets and fabric wrapping. I highly recommend this book.

This book covers everything needed for beginners plus projects with step by step instructions with pictures. Go here FIRST and save yourself from purchasing all the wrong tools. Beautifully done and I personally prefer these upscale looking simple bowls described here in this book.

This book is a great starter for me. I was making rope baskets with glue and they were unfortunately falling apart with moderate use. This book taught me a more useful method that will allow my baskets to hold up to more moderate to heavy use. I also think it's going to be a lot quicker than what I was doing before.

I am new to rope bowl/mug rug making. This book is fantastic. There is so much information in there. It’s easy to understand. She explains everything very well. The pictures help a lot, too. I’m looking forward to working my way through the book. Out of all the books I looked at, this one is the best.

I have just heard of rope bowls, and I liked the idea. I took a class and made an oval bowl. I found this book and found it very interesting and a great learning tool. I plan on getting some cotton rope and make another bowl. lots of pictures and great easy instructions to follow. You can also find the videos online. Reasonably price and very nice projects. I love the idea of dying the rope or splattering it with paint. shows you how to wrap fabric around the rope to make a fabric rope bowl. Very nice book of instruction.

I do machine embroidery and made two rope baskets years ago by hand. They came out well, but doing them by machine and embroidering a design (if you want to) is so much easier. I have made one basket with my sewing machine and it turned out great and is so much faster and easier than by hand. I plan to make more, with handles this time. This book has designs and illustrations and great ideas. I really found it inspiring.
