The descriptions and images of this item on Amazon are confusing and contradicting at best.
Logitech keyboard / mouse combo MK320. The descriptions and images of this item on Amazon are confusing and contradicting at best. It makes it difficult to know exactly what you are buying. I bought my combo in August 2015. What is currently being sold does differ somewhat from what was shown and described on the Amazon web site, at least at the time I purchased mine. My box was labeled “wireless combo MK320" The keyboard inside Is K330 and the mouse M215. The photos of the mouse on Amazon show a giant USB receiver stored on the bottom of the mouse. This is not the present configuration of the mouse. There is one of the small Logitech Unifying USB receivers included with this combo. Since the keyboard and mouse can be paired together one Unifying receiver services both the mouse and keyboard, so they need to be used together. If you want to use the keyboard one place and the mouse another, you will need to buy another USB receiver. The mouse is very basic. Nothing flashy to look at. It feels like the inexpensive plastic it’s made of but it does have Logitech’s Unifying technology. That is it’s best feature. It uses one AA battery and the small Logitech Unifying USB receiver that comes with this combo (Unlike the large one shown) can be stored inside the battery compartment. The mouse is just under 4 inches long and is marked on the bottom with the Unifying star symbol. (Unlike the one shown). The keyboard and mouse in this combo are both unifying devices and both can be connected to the one unifying USB receiver included. Pairing the mouse and keyboard to the one receiver was easy using the Logitech Set point Unifying Software. If you don’t have the software you can download it from the Logitech website. The keyboard is a standard size keyboard. The spacing of the keys is like any other full size keyboard. If this is what you are used to typing on there should be no difference from what you are used to. The keys have concave tops which is the feel I’m used to and prefer. The keys are pretty quiet. You can hear them, but this keyboard is much quieter than my old Microsoft keyboard. The tactile feel and functionality of a keyboard or mouse is quite subjective so your impressions could be different than mine. With that said, I think my comments on the keyboard and mouse would, on average, be considered a fair representation of them. There is an on / off switch on the keyboard, but it’s located on the bottom. If you turn your keyboard on and off often you will have to turn the keyboard over to do so. I personally never turn it off which does not appear to have any negative effect on battery life. The gray one touch hot keys across the top of the keyboard work right out of the box, no programming needed. There is no indicator light for either the caps lock or num lock key, probably to save battery power. Each time you hit either key a brief message halo pops up on screen indicating if the function is on or off. This method does the job and I don't miss the indicator lights on the keyboard. I have used this keyboard since August 2015 and the batteries still show as fully charged so battery life is excellent. I use rechargeable Eneloop batteries so in the end battery life and replacement cost is not an important consideration for me. The price for this combo fluctuates. Mine was $23.99 and sold by Amazon. I see today it’s $28.45 and fulfilled by Amazon. If you just need a basic keyboard and mouse at twenty four dollars I don’t see how you can go too far wrong with this combo. After using them, I’d buy them again.

Exactly What You Expect
The Logitech MK320 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse combo is exactly that... a wireless keyboard and mouse combo. You are paying for what you are getting, so don't expect tons of extras with this product. Having gotten that out of the way, if you're looking for a no frills and inexpensive keyboard/mouse combo, this is the product to choose. This product was specifically designed with laptop users in mind, and it does show. I have been using these with my gaming laptop, and I absolutely love it. The keyboard features a very slim profile and fairly quiet keys. There are also some convenient hot keys along the top of the keyboard. The one downfall is the orientation of the home and delete buttons. In order to keep the keyboard compact, the orientation of the six keys above the arrow keys has been flipped and a few keys have been moved around. I'm not sure about you, but I actually take advantage of these keys quite frequently, so it's taken me a little bit to get used to the new layout. The mouse also features small form factor. At first, I thought I was going to have issues adapting; however, it's actually kind of grown on me. The mouse itself works very well. Both buttons work as you would expect, and the scroll wheel is very smooth. I've found that the laser actually works rather well on a variety of surfaces. The receiver for both the keyboard and mouse is rather small and probably easy to loose, but it conveniently snaps into the bottom of the mouse for easy storage. Additionally, it has excellent wireless range. It works extremely well, even from the next room. This has resulted in some fun practical jokes. The unit boasts long battery life. I have not gotten far enough with them to determine the actual battery life; however, I have noticed that the laser does shut off when the mouse hasn't been used for a while, and both devices have on and off switches on the bottom of them. The package also comes with batteries as well. One final comment I will make is that in the first one of these I received, the keyboard did not work. I was rather surprised; however, not every single product is going to work when you're manufacturing thousands of these at a time. And, who knows, maybe FedEx threw the thing against a wall. The replacement, however, worked perfectly. Knowing Logitech's reputation, I'm going to assume that it was just a fluke, but it was worth mentioning. Overall, this is a great product for what it is, a no frills inexpensive keyboard and mouse combo especially designed for use with a laptop. If you're in the market for such a product, the Logitech MK320 is definitely a product to check out.

A solid reliable product at a reasonable price as long as you have a spare USB port
A nice solid keyboard/mouse combination. I bought this to replace an old small Microsoft bluetooth keyboard after I clumsily broke off a couple of the chiclet keys. This keyboard has large regular keys that are better for a klutz like me . I really wish someone would make a keyboard with the tactile and audio feedback of the old IBM Selectric (the kind of keyboard that came with the original IBM PC) but this is a good second place finisher. There are no Caps Lock or Num Lock lights but you can download a utility from the Logitech website that briefly flashes a notification on the screen whenever they are pressed. This same utility notifies you when the batteries are low and allows you to program 6 keys (5 special keys at the top left and the Calculator key. I use AutoHotKey to automate some functions and I like that I can program these keys with special key combinations (such as <ctrl> <alt> K) and this is passed to AutoHotKey correctly. I only have one good hand so it can be hard to press multiple key combinations. Reducing this to one keystroke is a big help. The mouse is nothing special, just a standard wireless mouse. It can also be programmed from the utility but it's nothing a dozen other programs can't do. My only complaint so far is having to give up a USB port for their small "unifying receiver". Fortunately my USB hub has some spare ports so this wasn't a problem. Hey Logitech! there is already a unifying receiver technology built into almost all modern personal computers. It's called BlueTooth. There's no need to reinvent the wheel. If not for this I would give a 5 star rating instead of 4. If You don't mind giving up a USB port this product is a solid BUY

So, looks like I'm a bit of a klutz. I killed my last keyboard by spilling soda in it. Tried to rince it off, but it didn't work. So this time I bought this little keyboard, thinking if something like this ever happened again... well, it took 3 days and one clingy cat. It was milk this time. I took the thing completely appart. (the keyboard, not the cat), rinse it off, washed the sticky parts with alcohol, waited until it was completely dry, put it back up again and it's like nothing happened. Working like a charm.

Had the MK540 till my wife needed a new keyboard, gave her that one, so went looking and found this item on Amazon at great price, seems to have gone up in price in last few days. Anyway very simple to hook up and use right away, as for battery use, I'm sure they will last long, my old keyboard that my wife has now is over a year old and batteries are still original. Don't do gaming so I can't tell you. Love the keys and easy pressure for the key operation.
