Great pot for bushcraft kit
This pot is perfect for a bushcraft kit. The locking lid is tight and secure when latched. It's solid and well made with tight tolerances. It's not as light as a titanium pot but this will hold up to years of use without issue. I have a few Zebra Billy Bush Pots (the Firebox versions with the steel locking latches) that I thought were the best all around bush pots. I bought this Fire Maple pot on on a whim, figuring I'd give it a try and use it as a spare, only to have it become the pot I grab first now. The compact size, wire bail handle that folds down tight to the sides, and flat locking lid make it fit better in a pack than Zebra pots. Being able to lock the lid regardless of the bail handle position is a great feature. It's big enough to store a well stocked survival kit, boil almost 1.5L of water (it's actually bigger than the stated 1.2L), and make a sizable meal at camp. The included mesh bag is oversized and loose, but functional. The only thing that would make it better would be to include, or make your own, well fitted carry bag out of Cordura or canvas. Great pot, well worth the money. Hell, I think I just talked myself into buying another one... :)

Outstanding quality construction. A 'must have' while camping. Very useful design.
I camp a lot and I find this to be my most useful cooking/boiling pot. A very practical design. Perfect for cooking food or heating liquids for one or two people. High quality construction. I like the pour spout, the locking lid and the two handles. A+

Great Pot
This is a great little lightweight backpacking pot. Not too big and yet small enough to throw in a small pack. The gas canister and stove will fit inside with the lid closed and in the little provided bag it has a top handle for hanging and a side handle for pouring, plus a little spout, so the water doesn’t drip everywhere. It’s shiny and very well-made also. I’ve camped all my life and this is a good investment.

Clean thoroughly before first use
This is a review of the 1.8 litre pot. The pot and lid are both well made but this product loses 1 star for the handle on the lid and the 2 handles on the steaming basket. They have uncomfortably sharp edges to them. There was also an insane amount of metal particles on the steaming basket and under the rolled over lip of the pot, lid, and steamer basket.Mix baking soda with dish soap on a paper towel and scrub thoroughly before first use. The black lines you see on the paper towels are from under the rolled over metal on the lid, pot, and steamer basket. I have the 1.6 quart (1.5 litre) kettle from fire maple and that didn't need a fraction of the cleaning this pot did.I let it soak over night and there is still a ridiculous amount of metal particles stuck under the rolled over lips of metal on all 3 pieces. The third picture shows a huge blob that loosened up. My concern is with the steaming basket as the rolled over section is inside the pot when in use and could contaminate the food that is being cooked.

Lost handle + broken lid clip --- Replaced by manufacture
UPDATE:I received unsolicited contact to see if they could help resolve my lid issue. (see below) They could not get me a new lid. They sent me a new pot! I have been using this pot for a long time now. I use it daily as part of a pore over coffee system.Since the lid works I tried baking this morning. Give that a try the next time you are in the woods. It is a real treat. At $40 get this one!The handle hooked on something and came off. My fault but note it will come off.Next The little snap that holds the lid on the pot broke off. It looked to be the obtuse angle was very brittle.Other than that. It is a great pot for camp. Made coffee this morning on my Jon boat. HadRamen noodles and steamed veggies for lunch. Croppie fillet and French fried taters for dinner.

Lid is not intuitive. Teach others how to use it
I like the carry case and it’s space efficient design. But the locking lid was not intuitive. On a recent trip with friends, they didn’t know how to lock the lid and someone ended up with a burn on their upper thigh… I learned that I need to careful when camping with friends that don’t know my equipment. Make sure to train others on how to lock the lid on.

Size and versatility
Live this pot. Fill with water, put four eggs in the basket, steam eggs. Pour water for coffee, use the rest of water for oatmeal. It's a one pot breakfast. Be careful with the locking tabs their fragile. If they break you can squeeze the pot a little and still create a friction fit for the lid. Not a total loss but don't put all your faith in those tabs.
