Replacement phone works like a charm
This is a good phone and everything works as it should! Purchase this phone because the new phone that I got from T-Mobile was not working with the app that I use for work! This phone works perfectly and hasn't given me any problems! There were no visible scratches or defects that I can see and all operating systems and Wi-Fi connects are working perfectly!

Product was exactly as described
So far so good, upon receipt product was exactly as it was described, great condition, fully functional and very clean, no scratches or damage, easy to set up and works great with all my other devices, great product for the price, would definitely buy from this seller again

I'm dissapointed
NOT FACTORY UNLOCKED! I didn't realize this immediately because it is not specifically sim-locked, and data and calling worked fine. Fast forward 6 months, I get an email from work telling me I'll be kicked off the MDM policy (work email on personal phone) unless I update my OS. Evidently it was a Verizon phone, which can only receive software updates if you have Verizon SIM card. I have spent days trying to get support from Samsung, Verizon, AT&T, Amazon, and the Amazon seller only to be told to pound sand >:[ It would seem my only option now is to take a risk with leaked / pirated firmware flashing, which I'm worried will trip the Knox security (which is the only reason I bought the phone in the first place, as Knox security was required by my employer). The phone itself is also disappointing. I started with a OnePlus 5t, which I was very happy with. When I was required to get a Samsung, I went to an A52 5g. The fingerprint sensor and face recognition were both so bad that unlocking the phone was a massive chore (something I do dozens of times a day). I suffered through this for a little while before upgrading to the S22. I very much resent the trend of under-display sensors which do not perform as well as their more visible counterparts. The S22 ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is vastly better than the optical one on the A52, but it still is inferior compared to a sensor on the back of the phone like on my older OnePlus. Heck, even my old galaxy S5 had a better fingerprint sensor. The face detection is a little better than the A52, but not as good as the OnePlus 5t. It really struggles in low light, and must be directly in front of your face. Nobody does face detection as well as Apple, but that's probably due to patent limitations (and I refuse to go back to iphone until they allow sideloading). One notable issue both the A52 and S22 suffer is an inability to detect they are in my pocket. I must deliberately place the phone with the screen facing outwards or else the fingerprint reader will constantly register false attempts against my leg (which will lock you out of using biometrics) Battery life is not impressive. Once again the 5t was better. This may not be entirely fair b/c I do use the always-on display, but on the other hand the processor should be much more efficient for how much newer it is. I mostly believe this is similar to the issue of constantly waking up in my pocket. A proper proximity sensor could have solved this rather than just using the selfie camera, which is again another example of form over function (It also seems like samsung doesn't even attempt to detect being in you pocket in order to reduce battery / ignore touch screen).

Phone rating is approving since first day
My initial first day rating was a 2. I increased it to a 3 today and may come back to update my review with a higher review with this phone. The phone seems to take a long time to charge even with the charging setting set to very fast. The phone heats up very much during charging and moderate use. I need to get use to a smaller size phone. I was not expecting this phone to be 1/2 inch shorter and a bit narrower. I do like the features of this phone. The phone came with a double sided cable to connect old and new phone for data transfer, which was nice. The sim card "pin" tool did not come with the phone, which was a disappointment. I feel the battery doesn't last very long when using the phone minimally. Many notification sounds and ringtones available. I'm still learning and adjusting this phone. The phone looked new (not refurbished). No scratches. I am very pleased. I increased my rating to a 4. It has a lot of features my previous phone did not. I'm still learning the functionality this phone has to offer and I am also learning to live with some functionality I don't care to have. However, I went from an initial rating of 2 up to a 4. The more I learn the functions of the phone, the more like it.

Buy refurbished NOW and save 💵💵!!
I must admit that I was slightly skeptical about buying a refurbished phone but this particular phone has opened my eyes to what's possible as I transitioned from a Sansung Galaxy A32 64GB to this masterpiece of a 256GB device! Even though I enjoyed my simple and uncomplicated A32 (which is perfect for luddites, by the way 😉), I remained unenvious of those who think spending BIG 💵💵💵💵 on a (smart) phone could ever be a good idea. But, with this purchase, I acquired the (secret) formula for having my 🍰 and eating it, too! Refurbished doesn't mean "second-hand" or "second-rate" in terms of quality, functionality, features and user-friendliness. I now see that it is possible to make a SMART phone purchase and not pay a DUMB price for it! When paired with a case and screen protector purchase from JETech (also available here on Amazon and reviewed separately) this was a quantum leap forward for me. The phone was in near perfect physical condition (only some minor scratches on the glass and a small gouge/dent on the metal border). This phone in it's satin-smooth, pearl-white finish is totally stunning and is as esthetically pleasing to look at as it is to hold. Samsung also packed a TON of goodies into this small device! It has performed nothing short of flawlessly out of the box and set-up using the Smart Switch App, though initially challenging, worked exceptionally well in the end! I may recommend getting a transfer USB-C Type cable to facilitate a (faster and hassle-free?) transfer from one phone to the other, though. But, so far, I do not regret this absolutely 💯 phone purchase!! A small sacrifice of that "new phone smell" 😉 did NOT mean a sacrifice of functionality and features AT ALL!!

Video review here. Not an "excellent" condition used phone
I have had a Samsung S22 for 3 years now, having gotten it brand new from Verizon, and I'm very happy with its performance. My family member had to buy a new phone when his dog broke his screen, and Verizon gave me an extra SIM card (with 3 yrs free phone number and service) for being a 33 year customer. So I decided to buy another S22, a used one, which is the phone I'm reviewing here. The phone works. It makes calls. It receives calls. The microphone works. The speaker works. It arrived with 10% charge, so I plugged it in with the cord and plug it came with. It charged to 100% as expected. I used the provided Sim card ejection pin to open sim case and install my Verizon Sim card. All of that worked well. Then I picked out the apps that I wanted, and downloaded them without incident. I set up the phone display settings, notifications, and clock, weather and calculator widgets, again without any trouble. I set up the PIN, the pattern, and the fingerprint reader with no problems. Then I looked closely at the cosmetics of the device that I paid a premium price for, because it was described as in "excellent" condition. The front of the phone looks great. The screen glass is pristine. The sides I would say look "very good" with only one small area of deep scuffing. The back of the case has a lot of scratches and burred scuffs, around all four edges as well as around the corner and top edge of the lens assembly. Because of that scratching and scuffing, I would say that this phone is "good" condition rather than "excellent." It's not clean and smooth enough to say the condition is "very good." Function-wise, I will say, with only 20 hours of use to judge by, is very good. And another plus, in my mind, it's that this phone has the 256gig storage, compared with my other S22 that has only 128gigs. So, all in all I'm happy with the phone. I paid probably $50 more to get an "excellent" condition phone than the used phones in good or very good condition; and I don't believe it was graded accurately, and I feel overcharged because it's only a "good" condition phone in my mind. It works so I'm keeping it. Lesson learned as to condition rating system.
