Applied Magnets 1.5" x 1/2" Neodymium Disc Magnet

I recently bought an 'N42' magnet from a competitor, and it was terrible. The 'pull weight' was supposed to be something like 87 lbs with a dead lift weight of 8 - the thing could not even lift a 12 oz set of shears and I had no trouble separating it from an n40 that easily lifts a 2lb dumbell. Now this...wow! It lifted a 5lb dumblee with no sweat! SO STRONG! If thats what you need, get it - but be careful. I inserted it into a homemade shoulder brace and the other neodium magnets zipped over so fast they shattered! So be careful of its strenght. Also - I left it a few uiches from my computer, and the fans stopped working and I got weird images on the screen. So keep it away from sensitive electronics (they were fine once I moved the magnet away)

It's a good magnet and will do just fine for my needs. I'm surprised at some reviews saying how strong it is and that it's dangerous. Maybe around another magnet but by itself I don't see myself 'losing a fingertip'.

I have a number of these magnets in different sizes for various applications. This particular magnet is very strong, so I recommend being careful with it and not letting it get stuck to other magnets, as it can be quite difficult to get unstuck. This magnet is reliable and strong, and I have some furniture with magnetic closures that require a magnet to operate, and this works perfectly. It is a little on the expensive side, but it functions well.

A friend told me about this magnet and I was shocked at how strong it is. I use this in a silver dollar plastic container to get black sand out of gold paydirt. It's amazing at it's power. If anything metal is close it will go flying to the magnet and pinch your fingers if not careful. I learned the hard way. I promise you will love it.
